City of God was awesome. Have you seen Tsotsi?

Yes. And City of Men, and Elite Squad.

City of Men and Elite Squad cover the same territory as City of God. Elite Squad looks a lot like the documentary footage at the end of City of Men. But fascinating movie with the choices being made.

Lucky you! I just heard a recent radio interview where he started talking about how, when Sting was on SNL, he was 'hitting on everyone' 'cause 'he and his wife apparently like to have orgies'. A bit later, he said, 'Maybe I shouldn't be saying that. Maybe I'm thinking of my cousin, Mort.'

I wish Saul Williams acted in more movies, the man is REALLY charismatic. Loved his cameo in Lackawanna Blues.

Terminator:Salvation is a great stamp on the time line of the Terminator story. It's Rise of the Machines that ends up being an alternate time line really, just because of certain things said and noted in the movie; it doesn't fit into the T1 and T2 time line properly. I love Salvation, and the director's cut is just as great (I have the BluRay set).

I liked The Sarah Connor Chronicles as well, until the damned writer's strike nixed its existence.

The Silence of the Lambs

Good choices. I didn't like Wicker Man although it too has its moments.

Withnail and I? I haven't seen this one in ages. The misery of these guys is just priceless.

Batman by Tim Burton. I am a huge Chris Nolan fan but after seeing Burton's Batman I'm not even mildly interested in seeing Dark Knight. Nicholson is the real Joker!

Shining - Scary stuff. King doesen't like the Kubrick version but who cares.

Sexy Beast - Ben Kingsley and Ian McShane are excellent in this.

Pulp Fiction - I pity the fools who haven't seen this yet.

Silence of the lambs - "Clariiice..."
