I put in a 41 dollar bid hours ago and just WON the shit! I guess the key is to go out and forget about bidding.
Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it.

I only use the buy it now feature on e-bay, and thats if only the shipping and combined cost is cheaper than what I can get at a store.

I purchase music: LP's and Cd's
Guitar accessories
Computer: parts, & software
Electronics: accessories & gadgets

Most of the stuff I buy is out of print/stock, has been discontinued. You have to savvy, I don't bid on anything until the very last seconds that is if the price is right/reasonable.

Ebay is good for collectibles, too. I collect old/vintage house design books, so this is something that is great for me. I have also bought shoes and clothes that are less expensive than in the store, even with shipping. If you know what you're looking for and know how to search on ebay, you can find anything you want.

There's a phenomenon I don't understand. I'm currently watching an xbox game. It retails for $60. I got a wild hair and decided to ebay it rather than just go buy it. Not sure why, it was just something to do today and maybe I'd save a few bucks. Now when I say a few bucks, I mean at least $10.

People are bidding these up to $55 and paying $4-5 shipping. They are paying retail AND then have to wait for the item to ship to them.

Any compelling explanations for this? Why not just go to the store?

Some people may not live close to somewhere that sells them... Alot of people who live in rural areas shop on ebay cuz you can get a decent price, and it will ship to you instead of you driving for over an hour or more to shop for it...

I feel personally that Amazon is more reliable in that sort of circumstance..

Yeah, Amazon gets a ton of my money, too. I like their return policy. If you're not satisfied for whatever reason, you can send it back and get your money back without a lot of bull.

I just sold some shoes, but they were rare. Hopefully they're not picking up some Keds or something.

Nah, they're selling/buying Nikes, rare and out of stock ones

But you have to be careful a lot of counterfeit merchandise especially name brand stuff is on ebay (shoes, purses) you know "knock" offs sold as the real deal. wink

A former friend of mine used to buy and sell PS3 games on eBay. Sometimes it's to do with region and censorship or games just being particularly pricey in some countries.

I noticed that a year or so ago. I sold a few 80s hand-held Nintendo 'Game & Watch' things, and they did very well, but not as well as I think they could've done. A couple of other people in Thailand seemed to have an endless supply of them, all with mint condition packaging, batteries and instruction leaflets. More than a little suspicious. lol

I've gotten new PC games relatively cheap on ebay. Most recent one was the collector edition of Dragon Age. In the store it runs between $65-75 bucks. I got it on ebay for 35 bucks plus $4.95 shipping.

Deals ARE out there, you just have to keep an eye out.

It also helps if you don't NEED to have games right when they come out too. A title that's been out for almost a year can usually be had for pretty cheap.

I dig ebay; I've buy mostly vinyl and music memorabilia.
I've gotten a couple Baby Phat shirts that would have cost me $40 for $15 a piece too. Authentic, mind you.
