Pray for abuelita Well...to keep the illness trend going... My mom had to fly down to Honduras on an emergency basis...my grandmother (who's in her 90s but is still sharp) is in the hospital. She was admitted a few days ago and has been in & out with all sorts of things (severe incontinence, fluid in the lungs, blood pressure, you name it). They're really scared that this is the beginning of the end...but I'm maintaining a positive mindset and hoping that she pulls through and recovers 100%. My paternal grandmother passed away about 10 years ago and I hadn't seen her since 1982. It still weighs on me that I never made an extra effort to save $$$ to fly down and see her before she died. My grandma Tina, however, traveled more freequently and she was here in NY as recently as 6 years ago. I spoke with her at Christmas and she was hoping to make another trip to NY. I would love to fly down with the wife & kids, but that's a $5K trip that I just can't afford right now. Anyway...keep my abuelita in your prayers if you can. Please don't guilt yourself about not having the money to see your abuelita paterna. She would never blame you for that. I pray for health and healing for your family.

Sending prayers your way....
My Dad and uncles drove to SC last night to see my grandmother who turned 96 on Thursday. She had a stroke 2 weeks ago, so they went, came back, and just left again because she was moved to the nursing home. [Edited 2/27/10 5:55am] "Love Hurts. Your lies, they cut me. Hope she feels better soon. The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.
