PHOTOGRAPHS that MOVE YOU.

This seems to be getting a lot of attention on both my facebook accounts.
I took it today, and in all honesty, I've seen so many of these dogs,
that it didn't strike me right away how sad the entire situation is.

Anyways, here's the photo:

Post pictures that move YOU.

Very nice!

I love the ocean. I never want to be more than an hour away from it, ever.

This picture has always haunted me. Like, always.
I believe it was one of the photographs which helped to ignite already underlying public opinion against the Vietnam war.

Her name is Kim Phuc.
She was badly burned in a bombing of her village. This photograph breaks my heart. I actually tear up almost every time I see it.

This is Kim Phuc many years later.
This photograph also moves me to tears. I'm such a bitch.

The best ass is the one just in front of the girl with the dog; a perfectly suntanned body except that hairless pale ass, I bet the guy was thinking " ah, I'm finally in a nude beach, and it rocks" lol

It's a common practice of Sharia law. Vulgar as shit.
Village men gather round and distribute the punishment. These are her neighbors.

It astounds me we call some of these vulgar countries our allies. It shows just how vulgar and disgusting our own leaders are---oil and power...women's rights can take a back seat to that.

I absolutely agree.

And from a Buddhist standpoint, it's even more scary.

I would guess that less than 20% of the world's women enjoy anything close to equality or suffrage (despite what their government claims). Even in China, it's true legally, but not socially.

Now being that the population of the world is close to to 50/50, but tipped towards women.

This means if you're going to be reborn in a next life, there's a very high possibility that you will be born a woman, but a ver low possibility that you will be born a woman with equal rights.

I've always found the simplicity and gentleness (especially compared to his more extreme portraiture) of Maplethorpe's flowers touching. Very poetic.mushy
