ringtones on my phone without using itunes at all?

Do U own an iPhone?

This seems like an easy answer.

Do you have a USB cord to your phone that allows you to access the free space on your phone?

Does your phone play MP3s?

Can't you load music on your phone, via the USB, and then set a song to be your ringtone?

If you have an iPhone and don't want to use iTunes, you might just want to get a different phone. It's rather fussy that way.

Well, hating the phone is different from hating iTunes. Is iTunes just too much for your PC (ie: resource heavy on a slower system), or is it the phone itself that you're dissatisfied with?

If u get a Blackberry, u can download free ringtones from Crackberry.com.

As far as itunes I can't figure it out. Registered when I got the phone and I forget all my info blah blah. I can never remember user names or passwords.

Here's a tip on Passwords. Make a spreadsheet with them on it. I have one I keep in a safe place. I list the site, the user name (or login ID which might be my name, or my email), and the password. I also keep the password I had just before the current one (so basically a "Previous" and "Current" list). Keep all your login names the same. Don't create a new "identity" for every site or space you need to log into. I'm sure you know all this, but the spreadsheet, or just a simple thing typed up in Notepad, is very helpful. You can retrieve your information via iTunes if you've lost it of course.

As far as your phone...sounds like it's seen better days. Why not just get a new phone, and hock your old one or give it to someone who might want to toy around with it for shits and giggles?

She doesn't need the account info if she's using iTunes to upload stuff that's already on her hard drive. If an account was needed to use iTunes I wouldn't be able to use it myself, nor anyone in my country (or other countries that don't have iTunes stores).
