Janet..Love will never do!!


background: My 15 yr old sister took my 9 yrd old azz to wembley arena to see JANET..Rhythm Nation 1814 concert, we had no tickets , my sissy planned on buying them at the box office but failed, so she spent the money on merchandise such as t shirts, medallion etc!

But check this, during our walk-abouts of the outskirts of wembley arena, we came across a gentlemen working for the concerrt duties,My sister gave a him a chain she wore for Janet, he took it from her and went off.. then mr Rene came down and saw me and my sis..

He (mr rene) gave us VIP passes (including front seatings at stage).he told us thanks and said janet loves the gift!!.i cant explain what happened after, it was the Bomb!!!!!

the track Love will never do came across my memory when it was playing live, the a drummer (from janet's team) giving me a drum stick, we later got it signed by janet..what a night..Oh and Momma was a going mucho loca on us..we came home around 2 am ..sunday night..Ouch!!! But it was worth it!!! I love my past1

yes... I am OLD! There are so many songs I can think of but here is just a few that popped in my head right away... My used to tell me when Tom Jones would come on tv I would run up and kiss the screen at two years old!

The first song I ever remember as a child was "Candy Man" from Sammy Davis, Jr. Three Dog Night songs stick out from that time as well.

I was born in the 80s but apparently I loved this song as a toddler

Childhood... just a whole lot of MJ songs mainly, but nothing really clearly linked to an event or specific memory.

More recently, 'Californication' takes me back to the first time I came to Thailand in 2000. It was playing everywhere at that time. Good memories!

Oh wait! I remember when I found a recorded cassette of the 'Songs In The Key Of Life' album by Stevie Wonder. I must've been about 8 or 9. I already liked Stevie's 60s stuff and had both Greatest Hits albums I & II from that era on tape, but I'd never heard any 70s Stevie. There was no tracklisting there, just the title on the cassette inlay. I listened in awe as these incredible songs came on, and the album seemed to last forever. I remember I cried with joy when I listened to 'Another Star'.

Lots of song that were popular in the mid-80s to early 90s remind me of family holidays to France. All stuff from Now tapes and Hits Tape 6 & 7. Singles from '3ft High and Rising', that god-awful 'Star Trekkin'' song , 'La Isla Bonita', Bruce Willis singing 'Under The Boardwalk'... hmmm, what else? Bobby Brown, Kon Kan, Mike & The Mechanics... probably about 300 hundred songs can come on now and it'll take me back to those 6 or 7 years that we went to France every year and played the tapes in the car.
