Babble babble babble. Truth be known I miss living down South and I want to return for a visit atleast. It would be wonderful if I had people to stop and stay with along the way. I miss Louisiana SO much! It had so much of me there. I was raised Catholic (wouldn't go back if my life depended on it) and Louisiana has a strong catholic influence. I love both Jazz and alot of Goth and that's an odd combo but that is there also. New Orleans people have an accent that is somewhat northern. After living in Atlanta before living in NOLA I had a toned down Massachusetts accent.

Anyway my daughter is now fascinated with all things Princess and the Frog and was born in NOLA. She would absolutely love being there!

The coolest thing is that my daughter is very white, blonde blue eyed etc, She always loved Cinderella who she looked like. I would see the latin and black little girls with white princess shirts and bags etc. They would dress up as Ariel or Belle for Halloween. It's neat to see just the opposite happening. My daughter wears Tiana shirts, tights wants her pink princess room turned into a green Tiana room. She will want to be Tiana for Halloween and we will have to get her a black wig!!!


My daughter has always been fascinated with cooking and as you know Tiana runs a restaurant in the end.

My daughter is half black, white, and hispanic, and she never really liked alot of the white princesses because she wanted someone who looked "like her". I'd have to buy Teresa dolls (Mattel), and put Princess dresses on them.

The look of excitement in her eyes when The Princess And The Frog came out, and she said, "Mommy! She looks like me!" sincerely brought tears to my eyes. Her entire room has been redone with Princess Tiana and I've never seen the kid happier.

I am sensative to this because my coloring is the same as Cindy Crawfords and I was always a magazine whore. When I was in my teens i loved janice dickerson (i know!) because she was one of the few, along with Gia and Andie McDowell, brown eyed models used. Cindy was the first to do tons of covers for Vogue and she didn't come to prominance until I was in my 20's. Belle came out when I think I may have already turned 30 and of course she became my favorite (I also love to read) so it DOES make a difference, a big difference. ps my name is Teresa and I sooooo loved the Teresa dolls, I would have had a hundred had she come out 20 years earlier.

This is nyse's last post period..It's been 5 days since he posted, long time for nyse, and where he is has had the worst flood in 100 years and is a national disaster but in no way near Huricaine Katrina, thank God.

I am deffinately feeling like a mother hen, Now I am worried. He had given up drinking for a while but his birthday just past, march 27th and add to that he's probably stuck inside alot and well.... I will send him an orgnote for sure and post that he is OK if he responds that he is.
