Vanessa Williams Dishes On "The Blind Side" http://www.viddler.com/ex...videos/52/
She kind of struggles to affirm her points, but she pretty much gets shut down by the Babwa Wawa and the other 2 ladies,,,,still I respect her for doing it.

From what I've read, the young man portraed in the movie already knew how to play football, didn't need to be taught and is a little upset about how they changed the story. Poetic license I guess.

I still haven't seen this. The previews struck me as Lifetime-y. I'm sure I will watch, just to see how much Sandra did or did not deserve the award.
Did/Does Michael Oher at least benefit from the portrayal of his story? Or is this one of those things where you're a public figure so they can go unauthorized? I'm not a sports person so I have no clue.

I cannot watch that show I don't have that much patience or temper to suffer through the douchery of those witches(esp Elisabeth Hasselhag).

Sandra Bullock talked about the theme Vanessa brings up on Tavis Smiley. At the time there was a lot of hoopla about the same thing in Avatar but he never asked Cameron about it when he was on. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

I think it was MORE pronounced in Sandra's movie though whereas Avatar is more subtle.

Funny, do you remember when Wendy always said VW would be a great addition to the show? We got a little taste. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

Can someone summarize Vanessa's argument? "Keep in mind that I'm an artist...and I'm sensitive about my shit."--E. Badu

Vanessa will drown between all of that birds' CACKLE, she's too graceful to out-yap them Only a BIG MOUTH like Whoopi or Rosie(who I can't stand) can challange those women and put their privileged asses back to reality.

I cannot watch that show I don't have that much patience or temper to suffer through the douchery of those witches(esp Elisabeth Hasselhag). Joy Behar makes my testicles sore, she annoys me so much They're a bunch of egotistical old birds who think they know it all, and Barbara takes the cake "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

V should've unleashed some ms.Slater on her for cutting her off like that. it's one thing to be diplomatic about an issue, but another to just shut people up like that.

Oh, that would have been a sight to see! She should've done the show in character and cut that biddy with her stiletto! BTW, I almost didn't recognize you with your new 'face'. bboy87 said: Barbara does that all the time that's true, but see that's one of the reasons i like Joy, she never kisses Barbara's ass or let her have her way, like in this very clip when she goes "LET ME FINISH"..

She left that cacklefest and is doing some real journalism now "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

A NON-diplomatic statement at that? I was just thinking how Lisa broke out to do some real work. I can't imagine her wanting to be in an environment like that for very long. She stated that being from Asian culture she was a better listener than talker and to respect her elders so basically she didn't fit in because you really have to make yourself heard on the show. At the time Star Jones was still there. When the National Geographic gig came up, she was out and I don't blame her. [Edited 3/12/10 9:32am] Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

I remember seeing it once when it first came on they were having a discussion and when Barbara or Joy or Meredith (I think) would say something the crowd cheered but Lisa gave her opinion which was opposite of theirs and the crowd was silent She was the underdog "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."
