I love world destruction movies. But this one was remarkably stupid.

As much as I love Mariah Carey I hated her movie Glitter, which I though was really bad. Having said that, it was better than the movie Armageddon, which had Bruce Willis and Ben Affleck trying to save the world from a giant asteroid. It seems that Jerry Bruckheimer was so in love with the special effects that he forgot to focus on a decent storyline. I still have nightmares about how incredibly hokey this movie was.

I rolled my eyes so much through out the movie, I'm lucky I didn't turn out crosseyed
I couldn't take it though when the famous LA scene came and an old lady behind me murmured "get the fuck outta here"

The world was just destroyed, but that scientist STILL gets a good signal from a man, 100 metres away from a tsunami as high as the Empire State. >>

Oh, and the END of the movie. Girl, just witnessed THOUSANDS of people dying right in front of her, happily chirps; "And I don't wet the bad anymore!"

I'm sure that giving the chance, I might've enjoyed John's acting more.
With that said, I loved him in...

I saw the trailer for this and said, "Wow, John Cusack must REALLY be looking for a payday".
There are movies like this, and a Christian Slater movie from a few years back called Alone In The Dark that I specifically seek out hoping I'm going to find the most unintentionally funny movie ever made, (movies that are so preposterous and/or flat out bad they actually turn out to be enjoyable). So far Alone In The Dark has not been beat for me personally. It is unfathomable how bad that movie is to watch. But this one is in my queue just for that purpose. Fury, based off your posts I'm glad to see I probably won't be disappointed....

And... AND! They were just sitting nonchalantly in the back of that truck with their hair gently blowing in the breeze. No bundling up, no steam coming from their mouths, no shivering-- just calmly riding along as if a warm Spring day in Georgia. In the frigid farking mountains! Murica: at least it's not Sudan.
