Bloody fed up :-( I just spent all day in hospital with my baby girl, Elsa - she has tonsilitis and another chest infection (her 3rd since the new year). As some of you know she also has a heart condition and these illnesses have really been effecting her. I was lucky to be able to bring her home tonight - as I've been in and out of hospital with her, for most of her life, the doctors consider me as 'competent' (they obviously don't know me very well  ), so they're allowing me to 'home hospital' her, with a view to admitting her if she gets worse.
They gave her penicillin (which she promptly gags on and sometimes throws back up, and a Salbutamol inhaler, which brings on her heart problems (SVT's) 
Sorry to post such a 'downer' thread, but I really needed to offload... I'm not stopping. I haven't even taken my coat off

I hate how much kids get ill this time of year, but it must be a nightmare considering her heart condition aswell.

Big hugs to you, Elsa and the rest of the family.
I was a child that suffered with chronic tonsilitis from a very early age. I can still taste liquid penicillin and it makes me want to gag, even to this day. I hope she gets better soon.

Elsa is pretty much the same as she was. She's really not very well but still has the sparkle in her to smile and try to play. It breaks my heart to watch her, and if I don't see an improvement in her by this evening I'll take her back to the hospital. Thanks again... I'm not stopping. I haven't even taken my coat off
