That's an interesting point. I guess I never really thought about it from that perspective.

The main reason this is funny is specifically because of the polar opposite intent, but I wouldn't be too happy about one of my kids stumbling into this either.

Don't they put blocks on content like this specifically to prevent underaged people from viewing? (Granted I'm sure that is easy to bypass, but I don't think not creating bits like this is the answer either).

falloff I love it! I've always hated that SpongeBob cartoon anyway, but this puts a whole new spin on it.

no, there's really no way to block it...there's nothing questionable in the title that would trigger software that blocks unsuitable content...it really comes down to monitoring what kids access online...it's just a shame that children can't look for a spongebob clip without stumblng on this...

thankfully, as an adult, I don't have to worry about finding my favorite porn scenes dubbed with spongebob dialogue...too bad kids can't have that same confidence regarding their shows...lol

Wow...

I come back from doing errands and I end up seeing this thread going into a different turn? lol

With that said, Jason, I completely understand your frustration because my monitoring has became a fulll time job as well. Even if you made them feel trust worthy, some things like the clip I posted get camouflaged easily.

I didn't mean to use your thread as my soapbox...I laugh at stuff like this too...it can be really funny...I just wish it wasn't so accessible...

Don't be.

But lets be realistic, we gotta accept the fact that shit like this WILL BE accessible. Some of us just have to give our kids a lil' credit after we inform them about the foolishness that gets spread around the NET/TV. And the rest I feel bad about lol because it will take every ounce of their energy to filter the stuff they see untill their kids grow up.

I drove my mother crazy, and it was in the 80s/90s were everything was squeaky clean comparing to this era, I must've been a SAINT in a previous life though because my daughter doesn't give me grief,,,,,yet.

the biggest differences I see between now and when we were growing up are accessibility (which I know is my responsiblity to control) and that there is no line drawn when it comes to incorporating things traditionally meant for kids being used or manipulated as adult entertainment...

our parents didnt have to worry about us stumbling upon a porn version of bert & ernie...lol

kids just deserve better...in that Lazy Town video...lil' jon sings 'break it down bitch, lemme see you back it up, drop that ass down low'...and thats followed by the lazytown girl doing a split...it's just fucking gross...

both Lazy Town and Lil' Jon have there time and place...that time and place shouldn't be within a million miles of each other if you ask me...lol

kids absolutely deserve better...

It's really weird that you have a pickle to pick about this because I feel the same way about the opposite end of the spectrum.

I absolutely loathe seeing old people being portrayed as immature and 'child like' or 'teenage' like on commercials and T.V. I especially hate a joke that revolves around an old person doing something that's characteristic of younger people (like foul language or saying that language in a manner that's more akin to slang being used by teenagers in school).

It truly irritates me that we devalue older people so much that we turn them into the butt of jokes. I hate that shit.
