Daniel Day Lewis robbed of GG Jack is great but watching 'about schmit' was like watching paint dry!
'Gangs' was not the best film but Daniel was great as the Butcher. I saw 'the Pianist' today and Adrian Broady was INCREDIBLE. ---------------------------------

I haven't seen About Schmidt yet, though I have seen Gangs, and Lewis was astounding.
That being said, Jack Nicholson has won more best actor oscars than any other actor. So, I think they shoulda given it to Lewis, cuz he doesn't have as many. Tom Hanks only won for 2: Philadelphia and Forrest Gump. Evidently he was unnoticed for oh... Apollo 13, Saving Pvt. Ryan, Castaway (stellar performance whether or not you liked the movie as a whole), and a thwack of others. He gets neglected, so I think they should give him one this year for Perdition, or even Catch Me If You Can. "Knowledge is preferable to ignorance.
