Visualization?? Has anyone here used visualization techniques?
Visualization is looking at the future in a way that is very real to our mind and subconscious. We are going to see how this works and why visualization can be very effective to cure different problems that people may have. The best time to do visualization is in their morning because is the time when our mind is rest and we are relaxed. You can concentrate very well in the morning and there are no many noises from the outside, this will put you in the correct state of mind. One of the best way to use visualization is broadcasting to the world. If you are dreaming or you desire a house of love one, visualize it in to your heart. Picture the visualization in your heart, use your body to communicate with your visualization, touch things, smell things, see every detail that way you are transmitting all the senses in to your mind and heart. The experience will be so vivid that your subconscious and mind will think that is real and will work for you help you get what you want in a short amount of time. Do this exercise daily to achieve maximum results. Visualization is a great way for us to achieve whatever dreams and desires we have. Its known that most successful people at one time visualized their dreams so strong that they felt it in their own body. There is no doubt of the effectiveness of visualization in every area of life even a child do visualization although he don't know what it is. A child dreams with the toys he desires, he creates with his imagination an very vivid image of their toys. Proof of that is that you will see many times a kid playing with his toys and imaging that he is in certain place like a battle field or a camp and they really feel it, that how they imaging everything that is happening with their little toys. Adults tend to forget the power of visualization and think that it has no effectiveness. However ask any successful entrepreneur and he will tell you how he visualized everything in his company before he even create it. Quick Tip #1 Find a quite place, breath deep and think in the goals you want to achieve in the next year Quick Tip #2 Write down your goals and prioritize them Quick Tip #3 Think in how it feels to accomplish your goals, fee the emotions that come to you, how is it, how it feels.

I tend to have goals in mind most of the time and spend a lot of time focusing on how to achieve them, so as far as visualizing in that sense I am not one to do that.
I can see how it helps though. Focusing on the goal and then seeing the route there is of primary importance to removing negative thoughts and reasons why something won't happen. Maybe because I am quite a positive person I find that part easier. Focus is really important and however we achieve that it makes a huge difference is helping us remain focused and positive. I DO however use the technique when I play golf.

It's funny you ask about this because in the later part of 1991, I was kicked out of my house by my parents. I had to drop all my classes in college and basically resort to 'survival' living. Life was very difficult and I was working ALL. THE. TIME. to just barely pay the bills in a rinky dink apartment with one other roomate.
Anyways, I creatively visualized myself being surrounded by tons of friends in Europe and spending days basking on beaches. Within a year, I was headed to Germany where I admit I was very very popular amongst my friends. 2 years after that I was in Florida where I remained for the next 11-ish years. I don't think it works like magic... no, no, no.. What I think it does is reprogram your brain to go ahead and make certain, sometimes painful, decisions to embark upon a journey you otherwise would not take. I joined the military, felt extremely isolated, and forced myself to 'change' and develop a personality that would attract people--all of it alien and somewhat painful to me.... all of it succeeded. I am currently in a position in life where I have to creatively visualize a new reality for myself. As you know Val from what I've shared with you and especially Phil (yes, I like Phil outside of the org ), this last two years has been a rollercoaster donkstravaganza of outrageous proportions , and I am still picking up the pieces of much of the mess. I want to thank you and Phil for listening to me...for being there when I needed it. Phil spent a long time on the phone with me when he really didn't need to. He really listened, and he offered his opinions without judging or taking sides. He was a real gem--in some way I'd to think he came into my life as part of the processes I went through via some visualization technique from years before. I'm in debt to you and Phil--and not just because you let me have buttsex in your spare bedroom.

And I agree, it isn't magic. I have found however, that the way I think about myself and what I say has a lot to do with my circumstances. By thinking beyond the perameters I was born into, I was able, as you say, to 'retrain my brain'. Funnily enough, it also included moving abroad and developing whole new aspects of my character, which have served me well since. And Dan, you can buttsex in my spareroom too, anytime. Visualization is good toward achieving things. But let's not forget the effectiveness of Mafia support, too. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

Thanks!
Oh and Dan, I am currently trying to ease the sounds of you having buttsex in my spare bedroom, any suggestions for wiping out tramatic episodes? Thankfully it was not sight, just sound. Though I think Phil is more traumatized by the experience than me. I made him stop what we were doing to listen. He loves you btw and would listen to you any time you need to chat.

I conduct visualisation sessions in the course of my work, and also use visualisation in other aspects of my work also.
It not only helps a person see their goals and give them a path to acheiving them, but is also a great form of relaxation to boot. Visualisation also can help a persons body heal itself and aid recovery from all manner of conditions. The power of the mind is incredible especially when an individually is aided to tap into it

I change my mind.
I've been trying to visualize your threads improving in nature now for the last 5 years, but they just keep getting worse. This means visualization has to be bullshit, consider how hard I imagined it. How so desperately intense my visualizations were, actually. Mods, lock this shit up

Mods, lock this shit up Well, my threads do not contain discussions about anal sex and satan so I guess that is why they always FAIL. Ok, I need to correct that, they do not start out with the subject of anal sex and satan, once you arrive they seem to go there. Oh and..... Fuck you Dan!

when i was tired of my life , i used this technique' and i still do.
i was stuck with no direction and then i set my mind on getting a better apreciated high school diploma than the one i had before. i wanted to let in even though i had poor grades and was no where as good enough on paper. so i was like im going to get a chance if you like it or not... 2,5 years later i graduated and i was one of the better motivated students. i have like a paper round in the morning that gives me alot of space to visualise my goals. it can be difficult when it comes to self apearance. eg telling your self nothing is wrong with you

I have been doing this for about 6-8 months. I feel it works. If nothing else, it helps keep me focused and on track, and to me, that alone is worth it.

Maybe it will help me keep a thought in my head long enough to process it. Right now I am struggling with being able to focus, my mind is scattered.

But I think you could do wonders for yourself and those around you by regaining the ability to focus. Focusing and visualizing opens me up to accept that there are great possibilities ahead...I never thought that way before. I always saw the limits.

Now when I wake in the night for feeds, I sit there thinking of a million things. 15 mins later when I go back to bed, my mind is racing and I cannot shut it off. I need to visualize me sleeping, even if it is only going to be for 4 hrs at a time.

A form of planning ahead you could say. A bit like planning but still not really. You can plan ahead and lose focus. I've had many plans that went nowhere. I think planning is part of it, but visualizing is about taking it a step further. Like a tool,to help achieve the plans. EDIT: But,visualizing can also be about happiness and health.
