Depp’s Girlfriend Says No Angelina Jolie?

Screen siren Angelina Jolie has something of a reputation for luring her co-stars away from their significant others with her knockout looks and charitable spirit (think Billy Bob Thornton and Brad Pitt).

Now, according to the New York Post, Johnny Depp’s long-time girlfriend and mother of his children Vanessa Paradis isn’t about to let her man become Jolie’s latest victim.

What allegedly set Paradis off was the revelation of a romantic scene between Depp and Jolie in their upcoming thriller, "The Tourist." Because of this a source close to the project told The New York Post, "He's currently trying to [get out of the movie], but I don't know if he's succeeded. But he's trying and they're talking about replacing him with [Jolie's partner] Brad Pitt or Leonardo DiCaprio."

The Post adds that neither Depp or Jolie’s reps, Sony Pictures, or the film’s producer Graham King could be reached for comment as of yesterday, but photographs of Depp and Jolie on the set have been floating around, so it seems as though he’s still tied to the film.

This isn’t the first glitch with the character Johnny Depp is set to play in "The Tourist". According to IMDB.com, the part was first initially going to be played by Tom Cruise who was then replaced by "Avatar’s" Sam Worthington, who ultimately gave the part up "due to creative differences."

Guess we’ll just have to wait and see if Depp gets replaced too.

Who knows? With Jolie's history, maybe Vanessa is being smart...??? At the same time, she sounds awfully insecure, as if she doesn't trust him or his decisions.

I don't know. Fine as Johnny is, I'd hold on to him too.

Johnny Depp has to have opportunities every minute of every day. I find it a little hard to believe that she'd be jealous of Angie, unless Johnny has expressed interest in her already.

I don't believe the story but if it's true, and Johnny's girlfriend doesn't trust him, they don't need to be together. No man gets stolen that doesn't want to get stole.

I'm not sure whether the story is true, but somehow I get the impression Johnny Depp is on a whole 'nother planet than Angelina. I don't see any danger of those two hooking up.

I would like to see them get together, only as it increases the odds of both them perishing in the same fire.

And it's not even about "putting a ring on it" (curse beowulf for creating that term) - if she knows her man enough, and had enough confidence in what she provides him - she wouldn't be fretting like this and letting her insecurities get the best of her.
