Support The Nation-wide Protest Against Education Cuts!

I just have to say I am so proud of all my compatriots who have banded together locally and nation-wide to protest unprecedented fee increases, administrative lay-offs, and budget cuts for education--on every level from grade school through university! It is getting major local coverage and national exposure through the media. I hope others on the org who have been affected by these outrageous attacks on education support the nation-wide effort to stop the ill effects they will have on every aspect of our society! yeahthat

This is why many grassroots groups from teachers to parents to students have banded together all over the U.S. today to protest these unprecedented cuts in education! I hope everyone who is affected, like me and my son, and many other people I know will not only join local groups in protest but will write to Congressional Representatives in their districts and keep the momentum going! We have captured national attention at this point! People are actually getting arrested in my city! Anyone who has been affected by this, please post their experiences. It is a movement that has momentum and I don't think it will let up, nor do I want it to. It is too important for us as a society, for us in the business, and for our children (or for your freinds' and relatives' children). Sorry to sound so urgent but it really is important!

I attended an earlier protest but I am in awe at the amount of protesters who have congregated on the steps of City Hall! It is amazing! I haven't seen this much energy and amount of people since the Iraq War protests! I hope this keeps escalating in positive action! eek biggrin
