Orlando SeaWorld worker killed by whale

Help me understand: the employee was killed by a KILLER Whale.
A KILLER whale.....
Am I missing something?

ORLANDO, Fla. — An employee at SeaWorld Orlando has died after being attacked by a killer whale.

.Orange County Fire Rescue spokesman John Mulhall says paramedics were called Wednesday afternoon to the Shamu Stadium at the theme park resort where they found a worker who could not be revived.

How sad and traumatic for those kids in the audience pray rose

But this part had me like WTF??? After 2 attacks it's obvious that bitch don't like YOU, stay outta the gatdamn water! hammer

"InNov. 2006, trainer Kenneth Peters, 39, was bitten and held underwater several times by a 7,000-pound killer whale during a show at SeaWorld's San Diego park. He escaped with a broken foot. The 17-foot-long orca who attacked him was the dominant female of SeaWorld San Diego's seven killer whales. She had attacked Peters two other times, in 1993 and 1999."

For real, Kenny, she don't like YOU! hmph!

lol

She's like, "How many times I gotta fuck this muthafucka up before he get the message: Stay the hell out my tank!"

The killin' part is she be lyin' in wait for a few years, giving him a false sense of security an' shit, then she swoops down on his ass like
"You thought it was safe to go back in the water, didn'tcha???" hah!

Them fuckin' whales ain't stupid they know EXACTLY what they're doing. I'm surprised this doesn't happen more often, like with the elephants.

Hasn't it occurred to these fools that keeping such a large marine animal in an enclosed tank is not a good thing? They should be swimming free in the ocean.

Whales belong in the ocean.

Female wild animals DO NOT like being caged!

A caged wild female animal has her mating and reproductive cycle interrupted and you know how we females get around that time.

These mofos had it coming!

I saw that movie Orca.....killer whales are no joke! Remember the part when the whale stuck his head out the ocean and looked the dude straight in the eye all thuggish, like "bring it". Then they tried to portray killer whales as cute and all with Free Willy but I wasn't buying that. Orca had that crazy look! They are probably like elephants and don't forget shit.

Of course people always have this hubris that these animals are domesticated and whatnot.

Hell I love my dog, and he is the sweetest dog in the world, and I don't think he would ever hurt anyone....but at the same token I never, ever forget that he has teeth and a mind of his own.

Funny how many shelters across America always say...
You can not keep a wild animal as a pet. They are wild animals (wolves, cyotes, bobcats, raccoons etc.) and therefore unpredictable. So please don't feed/handle these animals if you see one.

Heck even hybrid wolves are considered dangerous.... so all that being said, WHY THE F@@@ would these people even think that they can control the behavior of a two ton intelligent mammal in the dolphin family?

Even great white shark flee from them cause dem bitches are top of the oceanic food chain and that trainer viewd the animal as "her baby". confused When will people get it that no wild animal is ever your baby? How many deaths does it take before people learn that an orca isn't meant to jump through hoops?

Neither Orca nor dolphins belong in captivity. Unlike seals and certain other mammals that seem to enjoy the safety and sanctuary of their enclosures sometimes, dolphins and Whales are taken from their families and cooped up. There is not a single tank in the world that is large enough for an Orca to actually feel at home in.
Hell, orca fins droop in captivity--they NEVER droop in the open ocean.

These animals should NOT be in captivity. They're not 'rescued' animals--they're 'caught' and 'trapped'.

I feel badly for the death, but Orcas should not be in captivity.

I feel the same about Beluga Whales, .... though I would love to see one up close---I fucking LOVE the living shit out of Beluga whales love

I do want to say something here though with regards to "killer" whales.
There are no incidents (that I know of) of these whales attacking people in the wild...not swimmers, divers, nor kayakers.
Remember, these 'killer' whales are actually large dolphins.

The only attacks I'm aware of happen in captivity.

orcas are not know for aattacking humans period.

I disagree with people fighting to free all whales- i appreciate our aquariums and oceanariums because they are the only ones who have aided in the advancement of aquatic sciences in the wild. how else will we get the knowledge we need to understand these animals? most of these animals in captivity had been injured in the wild or are on the brink of extinction

the poor creature was caught from the wild when he was just a calf and then taught parlor tricks and forced to perform for humans one too many times... i think the creature should be rehabilitated and freed, not punished. he is probably insane, imo.

i also feel sorry for the trainer though, that last final moment she must have felt so betrayed sad

i've been to sea world san diego, wanted to 'swim with the dolphins' there, but decided it was too stressful and humiliating for the dolphins. not all of them do well in captivity. many of them suffer from being forced to perform five to seven days a week. they are not machines, they are more like people....

i'd rather swim with dolphins in the wild... knowing it was voluntary for them

Man...they said she grabbed the chick by her pony tail and held her under water till she drowned! That's hard core!!
