I've had grey hair forever! my wrinkles are showing more, my body hurts when I get up in the morning, I can't lose weight as quickly as I did when I was younger.
My eyesight is the one thing that has not changed one bit! I still see great woot! and am wondering when that will change?

I was also told not too long ago I was old because I started to knit confused

You're officially old when you start saying:

"Age is just a state of mind"

....and believe it.

The thing is...whatever you look like on the outside as you age...inside your head, you still feel like you're 25. So when you get out of bed in the morning and hear all the bones in your feet crackle as they hit the floor, or feel a twinge in your hip, or look in the mirror and see that crease where there wasn't one just yesterday, it's terribly disconcerting.

I look a good 10 years younger than I am (or so they tell me), but the body knows. It knows. disbelief

I think that everyone should move on and act their age. We all can't be 23 forever.

I'm 35 now and I welcome that. I don't haven't had any children,of which I'm grateful for. I've always had a phobia of childbirth and quite frankly, I don't like kids that much. They are sweet when they are babies and probably up until the age of 13 and then I no longer like them. I'd rather have a cat, a dog or even a fish...they never change. They're always sweet.

Anyway, as far as aging in concerned, take care of yourself, make sure you're healthy and live the best life you can live. I wouldn't want to be any age or anyone other than me. Aging is great, as long as you take care of yourself and see it as a gift and treasure it.

I don't think fear of aging is exclusive on anybody.

I'm 28 years old and my worst fear is seeing my life passing by without have ANYTHING substantial done. I'm still a college student and guess what? I think I'll graduate when I hit 30 sigh

So, its a no-win situation,,whether you plan(which 9 outta 10, you won't be able to stick with it) or not.

30 is not too old. It's awesome that you're in school. Some people wouldn't even try after a while...

Dying doesn't seem all that appealing. Other than that, getting older rocks! I can't remember the exact Lauren Hutton quote, but it was somethin' like:

'Would I like to be 19 again? Only if I can go back with my 50-year-old mind!'

I'm also surprised fauxie is only 28. I always thought you were older than me. Must have been a tough paper round. I'm only going into my early thirties, but still look much the same as I ever did. I could be fooling myself, but certainly not conciously. My mates are all losing their hair but mine's is still pretty robust. It's getting curlier though, and drier. Needs more shampoos, and not with cheap shite either like the Fairy liquid I used to use. My teeth aren't as bright as they used to be, but they've held up well considering the outrageous abuse of my 20s and the lack of a dentist's investigation for 17 years. I used to be troubled about aging physically, my face looking older, tired, haggard, fucked, and if I'm honest I still am. I've never felt fucked and don;t intend to. I get excited about opening a packet of crisps. I don't want to look older than I feel, like some old castle with an amazing party inside. I don't want to have young thrusters in work thinking that they're better than me because their eyes still sparkle. cunts

hug I am making a little photo album for my grandmother with old pictures of her and her grandchildren. According to her caretakers it means more to her than the flowers i send to her...which makes sense rose

I write to Phil's Nanna, started that shortly after I moved here and met her. Even though she does not live that far away, we do not see her as often as we should.
I remember how much my great grandmother enjoyed receiving mail when I would write to her because we lived so far away from one another.
Nanna loves to get cards and letters from us.
We also bought her a digital photo frame so all of the children could add their photos to the frame for her.
She loved that. She kept telling everyone that we bought her a computer. Not quite.....but it helps all of us keep her up to date on photos of the grands and greats!
rose

Oh and Nicole, I have had grey hairs since early 20's. You would think that I should be used to them by now but I am not. I would stop colouring and let it be natural if there was some sort of order or style to the way the greys have arranged themselves.
Some days I feel older than others, like the days that ppl that I graduated High School with post pics of their grandchildren and I am sitting here with my first child that is only 5 months old.
Scary.
