I am sitting here, sick at home and, just to be able to sleep, I am swilling cheap wine and I wish I had my old crew.

I'm not a huge wine Aficionado but I have started buying up wine. My roommate is an alcoholic, but he won't touch my stuff. I just buy whatever looks good, to save, and store until I want to crank it out (which is rare). I have some French Merlot, a California.....oh hell, I forget. I'm early in my collecting.

I think there's about a glass of pinot grigio left in my fridge.

I could pour myself one...


I know it's not the same. though.

OK, I am going to drink some wine tonight.

Happy now?

It's good. I have Type II diabetes but didn't find out until last May.

I had been working out superhard to get in the best shape I could for when I hit 50, but I LOST 20 pounds. Then I found out my blood sugar was through the roof.

But now I have the right pills, and it's all good. I put back on 15 pounds but it's been hard. However, now all my clothes fit again so I am happy.

Last summer, I was a walking scarecrow.
