i just turned off the sound and put on "kitten moon" by fluke that gave the destruction of the planet a slow sensual 1990's underground club sort of chic. it fitted, lol. and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

i know i never understand all those films where people get all hysterical and start lootin/killing/digging tunnels when the commet is about to strike. i would just go lie in the middle of the street with a bottle of vodka and a packet of ciggies, looking up at the sky, waiting for that mofo to touchdown. and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

I have to laugh at photos like this. If that was a real wave those people would be gone or at least trying to run. The things that happen before a a wave that size makes landfall is a super low tide followed by a high winds. But it sure is a PWND moment! "Keep on shilling for Big Pharm!"

A post is made highlighting the fact that we could all die a horrible death in the blink of an eye and the people who read it are more interested in spell checking. Brilliant. Imminent death is no reason to forsake grammer! What's with this thread generating typos?! [Edited 2/25/10 12:58pm] I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.

The things that happen before a a wave that size makes landfall is a super low tide followed by a high winds. But it sure is a PWND moment! This is true for the most part, but I was shocked at how many folks stood and watch the tsunami rush in during the great tsunami that killed over 100,000 people in Indonesia and southeast Asia. The water rushed out of the bay, and folks gathered to see what was going on. And as the waves rushed in, several folks just... stood there. Of course, the tsunami that killed 100,000 people would be nothing on the scale of a mega-tsnuami created by an impact.
