2 bits of news just in. Anyone in the UK who gets the Disney XD channel can have a bumper Doctor Who related weekend all summer. The kids tv show K9 begins on April 3rd at 4pm, with the next episode on Sunday the 4th.

I saw the pilot and the acting is dreadful, but kids will probably love it. And it's a good way to bide some time until Doctor Who starts later in the evening.

Add to that a new series of Sarah Jane Adventures later in the year, a proposed 4th series of Torchwood set in the USA and legend Tom Baker agreeing to reprise his Doctor for Big Finish... What a week... And then this drops already!

Doctor Who's Executive Producer Piers Wenger has confirmed the series has been commissioned for a 32nd series, due to be shown in 2011.

Speaking at the press launch for the 2010 series, Wenger confirmed Matt Smith will return next year in his second series as The Doctor as well as appearing in a Christmas Special at the end of this year.

Shooting on the current series wraps this weekend giving the cast a break before returning to work on the Special and the 2011 series in early July.

Baker is my fave,followed by Tennant.I don't know about this new guy and his GERONIMO! catchphrase.

Fox is picking up Torchwood btw...they have a history of killing scifi shows.
