New horror-short film called "Bumps In The Night" - good stuff!

OK, I may be a bit biased because the writer/director of this piece is a close relative, but I can still recommend this.

The director and writer of this film, Erlingur Thoroddsen, is studying film-making at Columbia in NYC and he made this short-horrorfilm as a project for his studies. This shortfilm kinda flips the genre a bit, because it's very rare to have a gay couple as the main characters in a horror movie.
I don't want to give away too much because it's a short film (only 5 1/2 minutes) but I recommend checking it out and I can honestly say I'm looking forward to future works directed by him.
Here's a link to the film on his Vimeo site:

Pause:

The gays are not usually the first to die. The blacks are.
We're usually 2nd or third.

Ok, back to the movie. boxed

Unless it's an all white gay horror movie. Then it's just a default thing. lol

I have a question, too, about the last couple lines. They confuse me. confuse

Otherwise, good production. Love the lingering suspense! nod

I would have posted a link to Erlingur's (the director) website but the English version is under construction - anyway if you have Twitter here's his page - if you want to contact him regarding the film:

I liked it. I actually jolted at the really scary bit.

As for gays and horror... I guess nobody here is acquainted with the ouvre of director David DeCoteau?

Voodoo Academy is a classic. Just reading the comments on IMDb makes me howl with laughter:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0232908/

The characters are not gay per se... but the movie was definitely created for "a specific audience"...
