I've totally been there before. So I bought the movie on blu-ray. I'm a masochist.

That conversation where he asks her "why did you dance with me" was something I can totally relate to. People with completely different concepts of what happens in a relationship.

Neither one is wrong, but I did take his side!! lol

It isn't often that a romcom is told from the guy's point of view. I thought the ending was a bit contrived, but other than that, loved it.

I saw "Law Abiding Citizen" with Gerard Butler and Jamie Foxx on DVD this weekend and it was a really good movie. I need to get Chris Rock's "Good Hair" next.
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

I watched the rest of Jennifer's Body and it had some funny satire in there of pop teen culture. There are some gemlike lines. And Megan Fox can act well. I didn't care for the latter half of the underlying honest story of the film, but the funny stuff was... funny. Makes fun of teen pop alt rock bands too.

Cute movie, though it has a premise flaw in which people not only cannot tell lies, they cannot refrain from revealing embarrassing details about themselves. There is a difference between lying and not sharing everything about yourself!

But I did like it.

Yeah, that movie was not without its flaws, but I think the idea is we often invent lies to put in place of what we do not wish to be sharing with others. It is a big hit with people who do not believe in the Bible. nod

I liked the movie, we just watched last week. The comedian Louis C.K. is funny in his stand up act. He was ok in the movie. giggle

thumbs up!
The only problem I had was seeing James Gandolphini (sp?) in it and not seeing him as Tony Soprano.

It seemed to be a very lighthearted movie... a comedy. There have been many comedies made about religion.
I am not a big fan of Jennifer Garner, would not have picked her for the role.

I very, very seldom go to the movies these days... what's the point with 12,000 cable channels. shrug

I watched director Julio Medem's, "Los Amantes del Circulo Polar" last night.

The premise: An eight year old boy and girl they meet on the school yard and from that first encounter you understand they'll be apart of each other lives for the rest of their lives. Events and coincidences keep them bonded together one way or another but also keeps them apart.

I haven't seen this movie in a while (it came out in '98 or '99) and it still moves me; a haughtily romantic melodrama but with cerebral European sensibilities. It was a joy to watch superb acting, visually beautiful, and heart-renderingly personal.

lol I of course didn't mind since I don't believe in the man in the sky, but it did occur to me as I watched "wait, he's saying that religion & God is a lie"

The fact that it was a lie told to comfort people doesn't change the fact that people will think it's anti-religion & anti-god

whatever, him using pizza boxes as his Moses tablets was funny. And there is a long tradition of making fun of religion in British comedy, look no further than Monty Python

Gonna have to check a few of these out, thanks everyone!

Shutter Island was a good mindfuck

District 9 had me on the edge of my seat because I had no idea what it was about until I was neck deep in it.

Up was good, sad when he lost his wife, I cried like a little girl

2012 or whatever that end of the world movie was, funny (not suppose to be but the writing was so bad...) with great special effects.

Freeks & Geeks was solid, just seeing all of those actors I've recently enjoyed starting out was cool.

Wanted to see Sherlock Holmes & The new Werewolf but I guess they'll be rentals...

Crazy Heart. Jeff Bridges and Maggie Gylennhal are magnificent! A real actor's movie.
