Seen any good movies lately?

I have recently seen:

Up in the Air starring George Clooney- A great movie with a nice feminist feel 2 it 7/10

Legion- Good acting, great special effects, terrible storyline and is completely lost when trying 2 refer 2 the bible...nonetheless 6/10

Princess & the Frog- talk about not sticking to the original story at all. GREAT SONGS and visually stunning. 7/10

White Booty Worship 2- ElegantAngel & LT have done it again. Was a joy 2 see Ava Rose do her first interracial anal. 8/10

I saw 'A Single Man' last week and it's really quite beautiful. It looks great, the acting is superb, the soundtrack is wonderful and you get to see Colin Firth's bum. lol What more could I ask for?

Not a new movie, but I've gotten on a "Nacho Libre" kick lately. It's one of those flicks that the first time you see it, you're like "That was stupid." The next time, "Hey, that was a little funny." It gets funnier and funnier each subsequent time I see it.

I´m still trying to digest the greatness that is Woody Allen´s "Vicky Cristina Barcelona".
Great, great little film, if that makes any sense. Brings the summer right into your livingroom.

(500) Days of Summer

I've been rediscovering Monsters, Inc. lately, mainly because I upgraded my regular DVD for a BluRay copy.

Temple Grandin - a MUST see

Extract

I'm going to rewatch Bring On The Night soon too.

In the beginning I wasn't that thrilled with this, but like a lot of shows, once you start to know the characters it gets better & better

Yeah, its pretty slow at 1st, I thought "Is this what the big deal was all about?" but gradually, the stories was getting better and better, to me its Judd's FRESHEST work to date.

What´s it about?

Here's the sypnosis from Amazon:

The comedy/drama Freaks and Geeks limped through its sole season on NBC in 1999 before being expelled by the network--but not before earning critical acclaim and a devoted fan base that fought valiantly to keep it on the air. Now all 18 episodes have been released in this long-awaited boxed set, which allows longtime fans and first-timers alike to enjoy one of television's most poignant and funny programs about high school.
Created by writer-comedian Paul Feig and executive produced by Judd Apatow (The Larry Sanders Show), Freaks and Geeks followed the Weir siblings--former math whiz Lindsay (Linda Cardellini of the Scooby-Doo feature films and ER) and her younger brother Sam (John Francis Daley)--as they navigated the perils and pleasures of a Michigan high school circa 1980. What separated Freaks and Geeks from most other scholastic series was its brutal honesty--Lindsay and Sam, as well as their friends and parents, were given very human personas that showed failure, malice, indecision, and moments of great clarity. Likewise, the plotlines rarely offered pat solutions to the characters' conflicts--the show unfolded in a naturalistic manner, which was a welcome respite for viewers tired of flashy high school dramas. When combined with its smart dialogue and winning performances (the cast included SCTV veteran Joe Flaherty and Spider-Man star James Franco, as well as the sublime and criminally underrecognized Martin Starr and Seth Rogen as Sam's pal Bill and dry-witted Ken, respectively), the show became a haven for fans of quality television, if only for a brief period of time.

The six-disc boxed set provides over 40 hours of supplemental material, which should satiate even the most obsessive of fans. Twenty-nine separate commentaries from the show's creators, cast (and as some of their parents!), composer Mike Andrews, and fans are included, as are 60 deleted scenes, behind-the-scenes footage, and cast auditions. However, the most striking extra is the warmth that radiates from the commentary participants--their pleasure in taking part in such a quality program is palpable, and will undoubtedly be echoed by all who watch these discs

I love the fact that the story was set in 1980, and I ALSO love the fact that the jadedness of 90s TV didn't creep into the show.

Synopsis

Fashion designer Tom Ford's first film as a director is about a Gay British professor in 1962 Los Angeles who contemplates suicide after the death of his longtime partner. One of his male students gets nekkid.

I saw it twice in the theater. Awesome.

What I love about this movie is that it made me hate Summer (Zooey Deschanel) for stepping on poor Tom's heart and then kicking dirt on it. It's like real life.

As for myself, I'll just repeat what I said in the documentary thread:

In my preparation for the Academy Awards next month, I watched this one last night week:

The Cove

I was horrified. The footage at the end will make you cry.

yeah that was very painful and original to see what they did with her character.
Totally flies in the face of the traditional Hollywood ending, but I think many nice guys like us have been there before.

That conversation where he asks her "why did you dance with me" was something I can totally relate to. People with completely different concepts of what happens in a relationship.

Neither one is wrong, but I did take his side!! lol
