ive never read a playboy magazine but i was watching simpsons once and bart picked out that it has funny articles or something like that

i've never noticed any print of any kind in those magazines...

absolutely. my favorite are the ones made up of naked pictures of women.

They have too many articles.

I haven't "read" a Playboy in years but they used to have great interviewa...

Sure, but way too much emphasis is placed on it. Plenty of magazines have good articles.

We all know why people "read" Playboy, and I share the opinion above that they have too many articles.

But it's a smart magazine. Certainly better writing than hustler!

No, and if I wanna see pics of naked woman, Penthouse and Hustler do it better...

For interesting articles just buy a respectable newspaper, that's all...

What I like about Playboy is trying to find the hidden bunny logo on the covers. Other than that, the Photoshopping is way out of hand on the pictorials, which almost ruins the fantasy I conjure up. And yeah, the girls are so damn young. Makes it a tad pervish.

I do appreciate that Playboy gets a celebrity to bare all once in a while.

I remember my American Literature teacher in high school, a 70+ year old married woman, talking about how he articles in Playboy are really good. She also went on about how smoking opium isn't all that bad. But other than that she was the typical strict old lady type. Maybe she just hadn't smoked her meds those days.

Well they just published new work from Nabokov, and they regularly have exclusive stuff from other major writers.

Their interviews are famous, from John Lennon's last one, to Jimmy Carter's "I have sinned in my heart" one to John Mayer's current one.

They certainly have some respectable stuff to offer, but at some level I feel it's all image. Like a guy who only learns poetry just to impress women. I can enjoy every aspect of a playboy, and I respect hefner, but there are other ways to become well rounded. Playboy is a magazine, not a classic novel or a textbook.
