Knots Landing was a DALLAS spinoff, not a DYNASTY spinoff, right ?

Yes, that's correct.

It's one of the best strylines they ever came up with nod Here's the exciting conclusion of that storyline,in which a desperate Krystal tries to get Blake to remember:

Oh no you didn't give me this to watch right at lunch time...I'm about to fall into the Dynasty vortex on youtube!!! lol

...and how come after watching this I decided if I ever buy a house I'm going to name it after Sammi Jo's ranch...what was it again, Delta Row...??? lol lol lol

lol

This thread reminds me...I need to get the 'Dynasty' DVDs.I think they have the first few seasons on DVD.

'The Colbys' was horrible! A total snoozefest, with boring characters and recycled 'Dynasty' plots.Remember the ridiculous storyline involving Fallon being abducted by a UFO? falloff The writers were so desperate at that point, they started throwing everything at the wall to see what would stick, lol.

I've give up on The Colbys after watching Season 1 cliffhanger where Jason Colby was going to beat the crap out of Zack Powers but ended up (accidentally) hurting Sable Colby in the process.

But I've have seen the infamous UFO chiffhanger in recent years. That storyline continue on to Dynasty with absolute no conclusion whatsoever. It was as if the producers wasted too much on all of the spaceship set-up for nothing.
disbelief lol

Yeah, they brought that silly UFO storyline to 'Dynasty'.Everyone thought Fallon was crazy, lol. It's wierd that they never wrapped the story up or came to any kind of conclusion.By that point, the writers were out of ideas...lol...they couldn't create interesting storylines anymore.

The general consensus back then was that "Knots Landing" was the most 'realistic' nighttime soap. The characters weren't extremely wealthy and the storylines were down to earth.

Exactly. It was like a suburbanite soap opera. The characters were only relatively rich, with life complications people could relate to nod

nod I recall one storyline in which the teen daughter of one of the characters had a drug problem. In one dramatic scene, she tried to flush her drugs down the toilet but her mother found it.This is the type of realistic,down-to-earth stuff that you never saw on 'Dynasty' or 'Dallas',lol.

The fight scenes between Krystal and Alexis were always fun to watch lol I recall an earlier fight where Krystal kicked Alexis' ass and then told her "If you want a re-match,just whistle...if you can"

lol clapping falloff

That's because they were too busy losing billions of dollars in hostile take overs or jet setting with sheiks and shopping in Istanbul...all while wearing Nolan Miller one-off garments lol
