The Eagle Nebula - M16 I have had a facination with the Eagle Nebula (M16) for about six years now. To me there isn't anything more perfect or beautiful than the sight of the Eagle Nebula.
Anyway... Just thought I'd share.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news here, but it's true.
That is one whack looking galaxy-wannabe. I mean wtf is it? A big stupid looking cesspool of gas and debris. That's so sad really. Some people may find this spectacle sublime, I find it tiresome as shit. What does it do? Nothing. Just sits in space and swirls and emits radiation. Pointless as hell. It looks, what? like 5, 5 and a half million years old or something? Get back to me in like a billion years and we can talk. But, I'm no expert. Whatever floats your boat.  | |
