Driving a friend to the airport

How willing are you to drive a friend to the airport? Would you expect a favour in return?

I don't own a car.

But if someone wanted me to take them to the airport in their car, I would.

Of course, I don't think any of my friends do that anymore - we just jump on the train. shrug

And welcome back! Haven't seen you in awhile. I hope all is well!

I always pay my friends when they do, so that I don't have to be obligated to do it for them. lol

I'll do what I can when a friend asks and I don't expect anything in return.

Im actually driving some friends to the airport next weekend....then they are leaving their children with me so I can send them on another plane with an airline chaperone....then I get their truck while they are gone for the week, then I'll be picking them up at the airport when they get in...Ive done it for them before as well as other friends, not really a big deal, they'd all do it for me.

I don't have a car, but I've taken the subway to JFK with someone before (to keep them company/say good-bye) - that's a good hour-and-fifteen-minute ride each way.

When I lived in Chicago, I would sometimes take the train forty-five minutes to O'Hare to visit people during their layovers. (This was before 9/11, when non-passengers could go through security and wait at gates.)
The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

I'd gladly do it. In fact, I'd PAY some of my friends to go on a long, long trip far, far way. I'd pack their bags and everything. wave

These days I have a bigger problem with requests that I come pick friends up from the airport. Security measures are such that you usually can't park outside a terminal to wait for an arrival anymore. Unless you're a taxi or limo, you have to keep the vehicle constantly moving until you see your passenger. Then you have to scoop them up, load bags and get out of there as quickly as possible before some officer comes breathing down your neck.

I used to do it all the time, and vice versa. It's no big deal.

oh, and the distance was 26 miles, and about 45-60 minutes normally.

I drive friends to the airport all the time...but I'm only like 10 minutes from BWI.

But a long distance...I would do it begrudgingly. I had a friend fly in to Dulles to save like $50. Next time I will willingly give him $50 to fly into BWI.
