If your partner was sentenced to a crime they didnt commit? If your partner had a warrant for a crime that demanded 20 years imprisonment, despite them being innocent, would you stick by them? There's Joy In Expatriation.

I would wait for my husband if he was innocent.
I would not be like one of the women I have seen on "Prison Wives" who stuck w/ this man and swore he was innocent even though they found his footprints in the victims blood and was wearing the same shoes when the police found him. The shoes still had traces of the victims blood.....Um hello, he is NOT innocent. She needs someone to help her snap out of it. Not to mention this man even said that if it were the other way around he would not be there for her!! LIVE4LUV

So are you asking if someone would go without a physical or romantic life for 20 years?
I wouldn't ask anyone to do that, it's too selfish. If it happened to me I'd say, Move on with your life. If the situation and feelings are right when everything is over, maybe we can start again. If not, I wish you the best.

If not, I wish you the best. That's very selfless of you.....I could wait for my husband. Atleast I think I could, 20 years is long but I'd like to think I would. The physical isn't everything and we could keep the romance alive w/ letters and visits. I like to think my love is unconditional. I take my vows very serious. Through the good and the bad, there is no time limit on that. LIVE4LUV
