I just saw more details on this press conference, and I was right.

He's only going to have friends and family at the conference. NO questions, and one camera. All very pro-Tiger. It's cowardly. Everyone is going to dissect this shit to the Nth degree. Just when it all died down a tad, it's going to erupt again. Time to shut the TV off.

What else do you expect from a coward?

He would be better off just hiding in his closet like he has been the past few weeks.

Lame.

Oh, he probably owes a word or two to the companies that paid him $hundreds of millions to promote their product based on the image he sold to them and us.

Not doing that would be...lame.

Why? They got plenty of bang for their buck. I'd tell 'em all to go for a flying fuck myself.

The one that that confuses me about the Golf 'world' is that these folks talk about moral values and respect for the profession and such, but there's rampant racism and overt sexism in the world of Golf.

It's like being tutored on my personal slip-ups by David Duke or some shit.

Nah, you're off mark on this one, bro. At least, with respect to the golfers. The country club buffoons, now you've described them pretty well.

there are a couple famous examples from the pros, too

Fuzzy Zoeller's remarks when Tiger joined the tour come to mind. Maybe that was just a joke from a guy who wasn't thinking right, but the remarks themselves were certainly not cool.

Also Vijay Singh was none too pleased to be playing with a Annika Sorenstam

Vijay Singh must have had a helluva hard time because he's not only dark chocolate but he was originally from Fiji so he's like not American enough, add to that his white wife. You know them good ole boys talk mad shit in their golf carts. disbelief

that's part of why I thought it was strange that he would be so unwelcoming of a woman on the tour

Could be.

I guess some people also think "I can't join the woman's tour so why can they join ours?" But I don't see why they should care.

Frankly, this whole role model bullshit is what gets me. The best ad I ever saw from a sports celebrity was Charles Barkley's Nike ad from the 1990's where he proclaimed "I am not a role model. Parents should be role models."

And the other thing that bugs me is the fact that our American mainstream media would rather report non-stop on Tiger Woods' infidelities instead of reporting real news. This is classic example of trying to have it both ways by saying that cheating is bad yet giving an open forum for all of these hoes to talk in detail about their sexual flings.

Half of the issues we have in the USA wouldn't even be an issue if people were allowed to be honest about their sexuality instead of shrouding sex in some mysterious abstraction or putting it on a pedestal just for the purpose of pleasing right wing Christian groups and angry feminists. Can't we all just acknowledge that we love sex, we love pussy (or dick), and we want to make each other cum like a raging volcano and enjoy the blissful moment after climax? Then we can focus on more important stuff that's relevant to our lives.

THANK YOU!!! If I was Tiger, I'd tell the morality police to kiss my cablinasian ass.

so would I. You don't want someone getting up in my face on this kind of crap because they would come away faceless lol

Maybe, but a buddy of mine played with him in the Tour championship pro-am a few years ago and said he was a great guy.

Guys like Jim Dent, Lee Elder and Charlie Sifford had it tough. Vijay and Tiger had a much easier road because of those guys.

Hell, I remember Tiger bitching in a magazine about the PGA holding a tournament at a club that didn't allow African American members.

Nothing wrong about his indignation, except he made his comments while wearing a shirt from the Lochinvar Golf Club here in Houston - A CLUB THAT DOES NOT ALLOW FEMALES IN ANY WAY, SHAPE OR FORM.

Dumbass.
