Its okay it has great potential my only problem with it, is the extreme amount of blood not because I'm squimish bout blood or gore, but its just SO much that it takes me out of the story. For a moment I'm suddenly thinking "man thats alot of special effects going on."

Beats Caprica though.

It beats Caprica? I'm watching The Plan right now.... Caprica next...

Spartacus Blood and Sand is kind of like those male fitness magazines that aren't really men's fitness magazines at all... lol

Also, Spartacus is kind interesting in that it's not afraid to go abstract with it's gore. They don't hide the greenscreen, digital effects, they spotlight it and make part of the style. (for example in the first episode, they scale up a blood splatter to very unrealistic proportions behind the hero killing in a very comic book impressionistic way.)

It's like 300...gayer than gay porn.

I don't care about the blood and violence, but the body shaving is really gross.

Well I won't say anything bout the show cause I don't want to be spoilish, I just can't get behind the basic plot.

I don't have Starz but I watched the premier episode on directv. It was great. I agree with whoever said the plot was a little thin (judging by one episode) but it has potential. I sometimes like gratuitous sex and violence if it's presented the right way. And this show doesn't seem like it's trying to make any statements, just entertain.
