The Eyes Don't Lie - But The Green Screen Does... Awesome footage of just how much green/blue screens are used in TV production.

It can't be as much fun acting in front of scenery you can't see, but on the other hand, you have to be pretty good to pull some of this stuff off in front of scenery you can't see.

It's really amazing. I don't know why it makes me a little sad. ![]()

![]() Yeah, it's somewhat sad to see the sausage being made.

Whose job is it to make sure the green-screen stuff flows seamlessly into the shots? Is that the cinematographers' role?

I don't think so. A cinematographer's works is primarily during shooting. They're cameramen/women. The green screen/CGI stuff is done afterwards in post production, overseen by video editors. ...I think. ![]() [Edited 2/22/10 8:28am] Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

Here's my own homemade effects I'm doing for my own movie? Not as great as this stuff, because I don't have thousands of $$$ to work with... and I work in my living room watching cable and looking at this site... I just noticed this kind of thing when I watched the extras for Angels & Demons
It doesn't seem like a big effects type of movie, so it was surprising to learn ho much of what they did was CGI & Greenscreen. Actually very impressive that they can use the same big effects for a subtle thing, not just explosions, and make it appear seamless. My Legacy
