Many, many years ago, in the late '70s, I worked for a wine and spirit distribution company, and one of my workmates dated one of Dick Francis' sons, Merrick!!!!

Yet another literary icon gone!!!!!wilted wilted

Sorry to hear this news. I read so many of his books that I have lost count. He was a good writer. RIP. sad
