So I'm going to be having a welcome home party for my brother... Wanted to have some really nice mixed drinks to offer the guests. (I do have a bartender app on my phone)The app tells you how to make the drink ... but does not rate the drink itself... anyway I was wondering if you all had any good (mixed drink)suggestions what are some of your favorites... I usually just stick to the Malibu/pineapple/cranberry... or your traditional (amaretto stone sour) outside of that I'm not to (Drink) savvy.... Thanks in advance...

Southern Comfort old fashioned.

Last night I had vodka, orange juice and this schweppes manao soda. Nothing too daring, but very nice.

I like gin, soda and grapefruit juice too.

My top 5 are:(in no particular order)

Gin and orange juice
Apple Martini
Long Island Tea
Jack Daniels and Coke
Amaretto sour

*bonus drink - strawberry daquari

I was playing bar when I did this one. The crowd loved it. My friend asked me to cover the bar for a minute and had no idea what I was doing. Made a hundred bucks though.

Disoranno Sour

I mixed sugar and hot water to make a syrup/sugar water (just using hottest tap water and shaking in mixer w/ sugar until sugar is dissolved).

I add juice of one large lemon, or 2 small limes, and Disoranno. Shake together with ice, and pour over fresh ice. Add a shot of tonic or seltzer if desired.

I hate sour mixes, so I do my own.

I also like Disoranno Cosmos and Martinis.

I also drink Captain Morgan's Parrot Bay Mango rum with some of the flavored carbonated water you can get from your local grocery store. I mix it with a Peach flavored fizzy water, or I might mix the coconut with the Raspberry fizzy water. About 2 parts fizzy to one part rum, over ice. Love it at the pool on a hot day in a big ass tumbler glass - but it puts me to sleep, being in the sun like that. I set the alarm on my iPod for every 25 minutes so I can turn over and not burn, lest I fall asleep w/ that in me. hahahaha

I'm pretty boring with my alcohol.

I´m a simple man. I enjoy a good Mojito...has to be good though and with Havanna Club, please, no Bacardi or other rum.

And I also like a good Cuba Libre...but add some lime to it and don´t just give me a Bacardi Cola and call it Cuba Libre.

Long Island Ice Tea....has to be strong though.

Havanna Club Rum with two thirds cranberry juice, icecubes and a slice of lemon or lime.

Grapefruit and rum with lots of lime and icecubes.

I don´t drink much in the cold seasons. I enjoy my drinks when the weather is hot and the people are horny.

A Pimm's Cup is my favorite summer drink. Don't forget the cucumber!

French martini made with good champagne, fresh juiced Pineapple. All shaken for that nice froth on the top of the drink and garnished with a lemon twist in the bottom of the glass. That last sip with the lemon twist is the best.

Watermelon martini. The fresh juiced water melon and cucumber kind with and cracked black pepper around the rim.

A real margarita on the rocks made with only the best tequila and fresh squeezed juice.

A real mint julep.

I'm simple.

Rye and Cran (yes, rye not vodka)

or

Gin and tonic.

I drink nothing else.

I lean towards the Kamikazes, the Long Island Ice Teas, the Zombies and the ol' standby, the Depth Charge (Boilermaker).

However, I've been DYING to try this at a party...

Definitely whiskey, rum, and occasionally bourbon.

Glass. 3 ice cubes. 1/3 Amaretto. 2/3 chilled clear apple juice.

Glass. 3 ice cubes. 1/3 Bailey's. 2/3 chilled Nutricia chocomel.

There's only one drink for me;



...the Long Island Iced Tea.

1 part vodka
1 part 1800® Tequila
1 part rum
1 part gin
1 part triple sec
1 1/2 parts sweet and sour mix
1 splash Coca-Cola®

Mix ingredients together over ice in a glass. Pour into a shaker and give one brisk shake. Pour back into the glass and make sure there is a touch of fizz at the top. Garnish with lemon.

bourbon & coke...anything else is made for lil' girls or guys that should be lil' girls....

vodka tonic, heavy on the vodka.


about twelve of 'em, while you're at it garcon.

after a while of drinking bourbon & cokes, I like to start doing shots of bourbon and chasing with bourbon & coke...
