Jesus touched my life and brought the love of god into my soul.

And what did you do with that soul?

It was sarcasm... my opinion continues to be that there is no god and that the idea of the divinity of Jesus is a myth and a falsehood... furthermore, I do not believe in the existence of a soul or anything of a spiritual or ethereal realm.

err Really...??!! Man... I thought u really meant it!!

That, quite honestly, makes me want to vomit.

Berry

My mom. She has been severely depressed for 25 years. She has developed a socialization disorder from spending 20 hrs a day in her her messy bedroom w/ the TV as her companion. She has been in the hands of the wrong doctors and has been on the wrong meds...

I finally got her to see a well reputed psychiatrist and she enrolled in an out-patient program.

I have never had a reason to be proud of my mom until this week... cry

She's my role model now. Mom I love you! hug

Yes...

Three months ago, as I was coming back from the Food Court, a guy stopped me. He pointed at my implant and said he wanted to talk about it. We sat on a bench and talked. Turns out he was going through the lenghty assessment process to get his own hearing implant. We talked about my surgery, and his hopes and fears. It was a good talk, and I wished him luck.

Yesterday, as I was working in my office with the door closed, he appeared in the small adjacent window. He wanted to talk about phones. His voice had changed, and he was now speaking like a deaf person, dropping sound and pronouncing approximatively. I realized he was losing his hearing extremely fast. My heart sank. Then he said he had been accepted as a recipient for the implant program. His surgery was scheduled... three years from now. He asked me how I heard on the phone and I said I don't, but I showed him a "booster" someone else was using on the floor. He called his number to check his voice mail. Couldn't hear anything. I asked him what was his job. He said that until recently, he had to use the phone, and now he couldn't Oh and by the way, he just got separated.

Needless to say, it was horrible to see this situation. We'll meet again next week. Maybe I can help.

SensualMelody

My husband took me to look at new cars... smile

He also baked me a pineapple upside down cake.

He grilled some fish that he caught in the gulf.

He washed the dishes after dinner.

He's waiting for my company now...

All that's nice, I think, plus it's his usual behavior.

I am a happy camper. smile
So...how's everybody doing? smile
