I had no pain whatsoever (literally none...didn't have to take even 1 pain pill.) Make sure you go to a board certified plastic surgeon though...one that actually knows what they are doing. Don't just go to any surgeon...do your research and don't even think about the price of the surgery...go for how good and experienced the surgeon is.

I just had to wear a nose-bandage for about 10 days or so. It wasn't a huge bandage...it was just enough to cover-up the nose. You will be bruised for about 2 weeks or so. But that didn't bother me though...I was just glad to feel no pain. The only thing you will feel is the swelling/numbness...but it doesn't hurt though.

You could probably go to a board certified plastic surgeons website and find a good one in your area...

Interesting thread... for me anyways.
All my life people told me that I should get my nose done... because my mom constantly called my nose ugly and said that I looked like a n***** I decided to love the way I looked despite what I was told.

Now I'm just me..... with my big ol' schnoz. shrug

sometimes I think... if everyone "fixes" big noses then would some faces just look so weird. I think Wendy Williams should have never touched her nose while at the same time Patti La Belle's nose looks great.... and Celia does too, but Celia rocked a natural wide nose and never flinched when folks called her ugly.

About 2 years ago I sat my mom down and told her how I felt when she said those mean things to me.

The conversation started because she mentioned how she wished that we were closer and she wished I trusted her more.
I told her that everyday when I was young, what she said to me caused me great pain and it made me not trust her since she tore my spirit down.

At first she tried to deny it... but then she got quiet and then she just listened, she began to actually cry and then finally apologized.

It took me a becoming a patient and forgiving adult to be able to heal enough to tell her that... and just being able to tell her healed me so much too.

Funny thing, she said she thought it didn't bother me because she always thought I was pretty. confuse

She was raised in many foster homes... so I make peace with knowing that she was raised by people that didn't love her and was mean to her too. bheart

We are now getting closer and now I actually enjoy being around her.
