I was at IKEA on Monday. smile

Bought a PAX wardrobe for my eldest. They had been really busy and had sold out on a few of the inside things (stop me if I'm getting too technical) so a re-think was required right there on the shop floor. eek

In all the hullabaloo, forgot the bloody hinges! mad

And I live 100 miles away! mad

Threw it together anyway, thought easy to just slip the hinges on when they arrive (IKEA sending them out, bless.) Two minute job. smile

Loaded it all up, it's 8 foot tall or something, so it takes a pile of stuff, then realised it will all have to come back out as the insert positions will clash with the hinges when they go in! mad

I usually get on fine with IKEA too. sad

smile

OMG SOOOOO much of our house is IKEA.
-our den couches
-our tv stand
-our entire kitchen
-our living room wall unit
-living room side tables
-dining room chairs
-our entire office (billy bookcases and Expedit desks/shelves)
-the table and chairs in our sunroom (we've redone it since you were here Kitten)

...I know I'm missing stuff. hmmm

I might want one or two foot stools for the den couches.

show me!!!!!

I want this stool for my kitchen

when I'm cooking, sometimes I like to sit for a bit smile

neutral neutral

I'll have to get a better/closer pic. There's a daybed on the opposite side (not ikea).

I like that stool! I look at it every time we go there. lol

EDIT:
BTW that's the plant you brought us! It loves it out there.

kalanchoes are pretty hardy I think and it looks lovely and sunny in there!

those chairs look similar to the style of chairs my parents had when I was a kid, I think it's an Ikea classic nod

Ottensen

Too many years in Europe have left me overdosed on IKEA dead . I stopped buying furniture stuff from there years ago, because everyone's house looks alike here. I still like to buy small things from there, like plates, bath rugs, vases, and bulky accessories in natural materials. They just passed a referendum to put an IKEA in an empty building in my otherwise bohemian neighborhood. While I don't buy alot of stuff there anymore, I'm the lone retard in Ottensen that's actually happy that they're coming boxed

I want the 4 x 4 Expedit shelving unit for our newly remodeled (or newly cleaned, I should say!) home office. I am a scrapbooker (haters to the left) and the Expedit has cubbies that are 13" x 13" - perfect for storing all my 12" x 12" paper!

This is not a picture of my room (I could never be this neat and organized!!), but this is a pic of an Expedit shelf in a ridiculously lovely craft room:

I want an entire wall of BESTÃ… cabinets, with the white, shiny doors, so the doors will reflect a lot of light.

I got a lot of wall; I can handle four on top of each other and seven from left to right. I want them like this;

The white squares will be the shiny white doors, the red squares will actually be see through doors so I can put a vase there, or other art.

The four white/grey doors to the right will also be see through doors, but with a poster behind it. The idea is to cut ONE poster up in four pieces, so the four doors become one pic. And because it's square, I thought about blow-up pics of LP's.

Thanks. It's pretty simple but gets used a lot. Also when we have a full house some folk sleep out there. If only I could find an easy way to keep the windows consistently clean and streak free.

I love your office. love

We use Expedit in ours too. (not as organized as yours in this pic lol)
My desk on the right/ separated by the cubbies with another desk on left (Ron's).
Ron moved his computer to the desk in the den so now right side will be my personal, left side will be for the business.

I swear it looks nice when I clean it up. boxed

My old roommate has that one and almost gave it to me when she moved but I don't really have stuff to put on it so she just kept it.

Never had'em. Always go for the meatballs.

There's an Ikea 5 mins from the office so occasionally I go there for lunch...maybe next time I'll try the chicken fingers!

I fucking hate IKEA, despise it with a passion.
Made a solemn promise to myself to never set foot in that store again.

Those manuals to assemble whatever piece of crap you bought never make sense, they either give you the wrong screws, bolts etc, or the ones from another piece of furniture which doesn't even come close to what you've just bought.

Once assembled, never ever take it apart again because it will all go tits up. It secretly changes shape once you do that and if you try to re-assemble it again, it doesn't fit anymore.

What I hate the most; the fact that you have to follow that entire route throughout the store to get to the tills. You can't take a shortcut.

And then there's the Swedish meat balls.. ill
