We have Direct TV

Our friends have Dish TV < they ( the friends ) say Dish TV sux compared to Direct TV

shrug

that's all I know ...

I'm just the opposite..we have Direct TV at home...and Dish Network at the office and at my parents house...

I prefer Dish Network mainly because of their cutomer service...Direct TV's approach to customer service is a fucking joke...Dish Network has been more than helpful with any issues we've had, tho there weren't many issues at all...

Direct TV can kiss a fat babys ass and will be out of my home as soon as our contract expires next month...

the only advantage Direct TV has over Dish Network imo, is how their guide is set up and divided into catergories...but it's far from being any knd of feature that endears me to them...shrug

Service quality must be regional wink ~ our expereince with Direct TV and service has been really positive ... and I am a hard person to impress w/cos service lol I'm actually a bit of a bitch

Direct TV(since October) It's been great so far quality and
price wise with my AAA discount offer. It beats my
local cable tv service that jumped price and and monopolized
the basic cable package during the summer.

I should correct myself. It's DirectTV that we'll be getting, not Dish Network. I edited my original post.

lol well that's what you pay for--peace of mind...and channels!

I had to fill out an application, wait for a voucher card, go buy the thing (and the $40 voucher doesn't quite cover the cost, of course) and now I have a 4th remote control. All so I can get 4-5 channels over the air for free confused

hard rain can interrupt satellite service but I've had satellite for years and it's never been that much of a hassle...generally the type of rain/storm that does cause interruptions is the kind where almost everything in my house stays turned off until it passes...

I liken it to the times that cable "goes out" for whatever reason...it's of course aggravating when it happens but the times are few and far between...

we very seldom loose our Direct TV ~ we have had DTV for about 10 yrs or so and the few times it went out it was just for moments

the last 2 foot snow storm didnt even cause it to go out

someone said to spray Pam on the dish and the ice and snow wont stick ... and it didn't biggrin
