When I was little one of my parakeets died
My friend Sharon and I made a casket out of a shoebox and burried Simone in the garden. The we marched around the grave singing ...

" Simone is gone now I am gone " over and over and over

looking back now I think that was my 1st pagan ritual

When I was little and my father lived with us, he used to walk around with his bathrobe wide open and nothing underneath. He did it on purpose, so me and my brother would know that the human body was "natural." Yeah, fucking is natural too, Dad, but you don't have to do it in front of us. He would also take a piss totally nude with the bathroom door open.

I didn't remember that until yesterday when I was talking to Chris for some reason.
It's what you make it.

My cousin and I used to go spend summers with her chain-smoking grandmother in Maine. The summer we were 11 or 12, we found boxes of romance novels in her grandmother's closet. My cousin and it would sit on the closet floor and go through all the books looking for the dirty parts. "Shaft," "mound," and "thrust" were all words I was looking up in the dictionary that year.
It's what you make it.

How'm I supposed to remember something locked deep in my psyche? confuse
We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Just something you don't access that often.

I've only once ever hit a girl. It's not something I am proud of, nor do I think about it all that often because even though I was 10 at the time and I could play the "I was just a dumb kid" card, I'd rather not have to be credited with that at all.

Anyhow, the story is, my family and I were visiting some friends of my aunt. Me and my two brothers (don't know where my sister was at the time) were out back playing with the friends kids, I think they had three but I only really remember two of them. One was a 13 year old boy. He and I were wrestling, just having fun, and I was getting the better of him. But again, we were just having fun. That is until his 16 year old sister decided to "defend" him. She got in my face about us wrestling and then kicked me in the balls. It hurt quite a bit. So I was forced to take a break for a bit, and then went back outside. We start playing around again and some time passes before she comes back for round 2. Again...I get kicked in my balls. Later, I would find chafe marks her foot left on the inside of my upper thigh. Anyhow, after I recover and she comes to say some more shit to me, I decide to hit her first before she goes for kick number 3. I hit her in her mouth and she starts crying, and says "You knocked my tooth loose you fucking asshole."

So there it is.

I was 4 years old, living in Germany, and we had three cherry trees in the backyard of our ancestral home (generations had lived there...). It was summer and my Dad got out a bunch of old boards and an old Army tent and he built me a tree house in one of those trees. I'd say the platform was about 5'X 5' and with the tent to cover me it was probably one of the greatest things to happen to me as a little kid.

I remember getting busted for throwing cherries at the house just to see them splat, but cherries on a white house does not a happy family make. I also remember climbing a ladder so I could scrub those walls.

We lived in a real Dorf, Stederdorf to be exact and Dorf means village. We were surrounded by cow farms and I can remember the pungent scent of manure that seemed to be ever-present. If you grew up in a region like that then cow-stink probably doesn't bother you either.

Our house was called Die Mausefalle (The Mousetrap) because it was a converted Bed & Breakfast and I always thought it was the coolest place on earth.
