I love you posted a pic of Prince. So appropriate for this thread.

My favorite object of pretentiousness is the PETA folks.

I like when Prince thinks he's being all intellectual but he just comes off as pretentious to me. Calling N.E.W.S 'new directions in music' was ridiculously pretentious. He needs to listen to more music I think.

He really does. He also comes off as being on his own planet and really batshit crazy. He is really on Planet Prince all day I swear.

I made comments about PETA on two threads. I find that hardly constant.

And you are free to speak your mind about my posts just as I am free to state that PETA and particularly its founder are pretentious assholes. They get up on some faux moral high horse and in the same breath commit crimes against people and compare the lynching of black people to animals being slaughtered.

So like... it makes your ass itch if someone talks about people you don't give two hoots about so you must speak on it instead of just ignoring it because its about people you don't care about anyways? Or is this just to give the griper grief because you don't like the complainee or said complaints or even how the complaints are made? confuse

But it's no one's business what another person eats.
Pretentious: someone who comments on what you're eating WHILE you're eating it...
- "That's a lot of butter on your bagel"
- "You sure put a lot of sugar in your coffee"
- "How can you eat that with all that fat?"
- "Don't you know ___ isn't good for you?"

Why is it that the dietary choices that YOU make should be imposed on me? Satisfy your own damn hunger, and I'll deal with mine. talk to the hand

made the same point on that thread that you are bitching about and you said nothing. It is unfortunate that you cannot see why I hate PETA and why I feel they should go fuck their hypocritical asses but as long as the opportunity presents itself, I wish bash them.

Funny coming from a person who has no problem calling a woman a "dumb ho".

rolleyes I made mention of PETA making the comparison of black people to animals and you said nothing. I went and double checked before I said anything about it on this thread.

PETA is no better than anyone else. I hate them and I do not give a damn what anyone thinks of that.

The majority of people obviously do not believe in campaigning for animals or just don't give a damn and I guess that makes them dumb to you, too.

In that regard I am wrong and can admit that. It is unfortunate, though, that you overlook why I feel they way I do. And it's unfortunate that you think people are dumb.

And one last thing: fuck PETA.

People that talk for months and months about a certain musical artist that not many have heard of and then when said artist starts to gain success, they suddenly can't stand that artist. Dude, quit trying so hard to be cutting fucking edge. You like what you like, now own it. Because if you don't like it now, then you didn't really like it then which makes you a phoney. Those are also the people that like the smell of their own farts.

Oh hell *throws both hands*

I honestly don't fuckin' know what "pretentiousness" is anymore, I really don't shrug lol it seems that the definition is expanding everyday so much, you might wake up one morning and find that 3/4 of your daily activities that you thought were genuinely sincere, are actually "pretentious".

Now take me, I CRAVE reading, anytime I have a chance to read, I'll do it,,,,anywhere I don't care. Mostly in my workplace cafeteria,,,,now I didn't get the memo because apparently I'm being pretentious for reading a book in a cafeteria(I guess to show off or whateva the hell is the cliche).

If you wanna know what I think, those folks who love to use that word, 9 times out of 10 would love to do those things they deem "pretentious" but don't have the guts to, out of fear from being scrutinized I guess. So what better way to spoil it for those who can? Call it "pretentious" lol

It plugs my damn nerves, but I'm stubborn,,,,,if I'm pretentious, well goddammit I'm having FUN doing it hammer lol

Sorry for the long rant ya'll redface
