Pregnant Toronto woman gets Oprah's help after water breaks during talk show taping at 18:03 on February 5, 2010, EDT.
By THE CANADIAN PRESS Talk-show host Oprah Winfrey, during a live broadcast of "The Oprah Winfrey Show" in Chicago. (THE ASSOCIATED PRESS/Harpo Productions, Inc., George Burns) CHICAGO - A pregnant Toronto woman received some help from Oprah Winfrey this week after her water broke during a taping of the talk show queen's program. Lori McCrindle was in the audience of "The Oprah Winfrey Show" in Chicago with her mother on Thursday when her water broke. "I was 27 weeks pregnant," McCrindle told Winfrey on the air Friday during a telephone interview from Chicago's Rush University Medical Center. "I thought I'd be safe." Winfrey rushed backstage to see McCrindle in the ambulance, and even helped her through a contraction. McCrindle said the baby, Justin Heath McCrindle, was born about 20 minutes after the ambulance left the studio. He was 13 weeks premature and weighed in at two pounds, 13 ounces. McCrindle told Winfrey that little Justin is "battered and bruised" from the birth, but is otherwise "doing pretty good." "It's going to be a long, rough road," she said, adding doctors are monitoring his heart and lungs. Winfrey sent McCrindle her best wishes and said she'd fly her back to see a taping of the show whenever she wanted. A woman going into labour on set is a show first, she added. "After all these years, it is not too often that we have a first at Harpo Studios but yesterday was a doozy!" Winfrey exclaimed to her audience during Friday's live show. "It's our first baby!" Winfrey also jokingly suggested a new name for the infant: "Justin Oprah" or "Justin O." According a Toronto friend of McCrindle's, this is the second son for the occupational therapist and her husband, Kyle. They also have a toddler named Jeremy. The family plans to stay in Chicago through the weekend. ©The Canadian Press, 2010 Lucky baby has duel citizenship now Hope they took out extra medical insurance before their trip or they will be stuck with an expensive medical bill Ohh purple joy oh purple bliss oh purple rapture! Now that they've seen it on Oprah, all chicks will be trying for babies.
Look under your seats! YOU get a condom with holes, YOU get a condom with holes... Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it. |

I don't know how it works in Canada, but here in the states each person pays for their own medical care. (Of course, you can have medical insurance, but you purchase that too.) In the US, health care is only for those who can afford. it. It's not a right, it's a privilege. I don't know if in Canada they can turn their out of country medical bills in to the national health care and have them pay for it? |
