I haven't logged in to my page in a couple of months. Now I notice that when you haven't logged in to your page in a long time, they send you annoying emails letting you know how many days its been since you have last logged in.

Mines still the same at the moment. I hate the fact everytimes it changes it takes ages to work it out and then they go and chang e it all again .

I don't mind it, I just wish they'd inform users when they're changing, because it screws up and won't let you do certain things when they're doing it. I also wish they'd stop changing shit so often, and fix stuff first.

Celebrating its sixth anniversary, the social networking site is rolling out as many as 19 changes over the weekend, including redesigns to the top and left menu bars and a new application dashboard.

The tweaks are considered to be minor and are aimed at creating a more streamlined approach.

"Over the past few months, we've been testing several different designs of the home page to improve navigation to and discovery of commonly used features," Jing Chen, a Facebook engineer, wrote on the Facebook Blog on Thursday.

Tricia Ryan, an expert on new media and online strategies said the upgrades make sense. "I think innovation is necessary and required to stay ahead or you can fall behind," the president of the Toronto firm The Marketing Chefs said Friday.

"Sometimes, you can lose some of your following in the wake of it but it wouldn't appear that Facebook is struggling."

She said she doesn't think Facebook's popularity will suffer as a result of the redesign.

However, there are already a number of Facebook groups protesting the site's constant revamps.

One group, "CHANGE FACEBOOK BACK TO NORMAL!!" had 1,745,267 members Friday afternoon, but it is unclear when the group was started.

The company said it was introducing the changes gradually and that many Facebook users began to see some of the modifications Thursday afternoon.

News reports suggested Friday that 80 million of Facebook's 400 million users were already using the new website.

Facebook hit the Internet in February 2004, when founder Mark Zuckerberg created the website as a way to keep in touch with friends.
