Internet Shopping!

I LOVEEEE to shop but am getting tired of the same old same old around here so I do alot on the net...

I LOVE boston propers stuff but they are a bit pricey and I was wondering if anyone has ever bought anything from them and if so do you think its worth the money? Also, do they run true to size? Id like to know the quality before i purchase anything from them...

Secondly, If you have a favorite website you shop from I would love to check it out!

It's sooooo last season, but www.bluefly.com is cool.

And of course, www.amazon.com

I've been avoiding online purchasing a lot the last couple of years because of it's environmental impact (tons and TONS of additional packaging).

When we have storefronts (and we will eventually, ohmnnnnn pray) I would love to venture into having young/up and coming designers have some stuff, but as an online store I think anything beyond tops and accessories would get complicated since folk can't just try it on and know how it fits.

As soon as its up and running make sure you let everyone know!

Will you have a store front like a mall, where each artist will have his own little shop within your big store?

Will you seek out the artists or advertise for them to come to you?

I don't know that we'd be in a mall. I don't know where you live, but here, malls seem to be a dying concept. The Springfield Mall, for example, is half boarded up. Supposedly it's to be torn down and turned into a Village center.Seems to be the trend for this area now.

Each artist would not have their own little shop. That reminds me of indoor antique/flea markets, which i love, but not the feel I'm going for. The store would be a hybrid of art gallery/retail boutique. I picture it bright and "lofty" in feel and look. Hip, cultural, NOT AT ALL STUFFY OR FORMAL ill. FUN!!!

I am seeking artists by all ways possible. By advertising call for artists, by searching the net and seeking them out, and by seeking in person (when possible).

Thanks.
It is starting off internet-based. But one of the goals is RL also.
I've applied for studio space/artist residency for the summer at a great location. If I get in, I will use the opportunity to further promote this. If the summer proves profitable, I would like to then apply for permanent space. This is where I would begin to make the crossover into RL with it.
My plan is to grow this in sensible steps, rather than all at once.
