Birth Control

Just wanted to know how many of you think it is the woman or the mans responsability? I think it is the mans, cause think about it, the men are the ones's who squirt that little sucker out "sperm" not us ladies.

Because women are the ones who actually carry the pregnancy, ultimately we will always be the ones who have to watch out for ourselves. Dunno that I trust anyone else to take care of that issue for me, actually! smile Our sexual partners should chip in on the expense of it, though, cause that can add up and they're getting benefits from the birth control too! smile

I think it's 100% the woman's resposibility.

men are so braindead, who could trust them to remember ANYTHING at all ?
They can't even remember what day it is half the time..
let alone stopping a woman from getting preganant.

IF you rely on the man you are the fool.

Hi Paisley!!!

Well from my experience the guys always insist that I get the pill. They don't want to wear rubbers as the saying goes "it don't feel the same" (is that true guys?). Sex is a 2 way street. The pill is not 100%, I got pregnant using the pill. Now there is birth control out there for "responsible" men - amen and thank god!

I knew two would be enough for me to raise with a decent life. As soon as i had a boy and a girl i had the surgury the next month. One thing about the surgury, there is nothing scarier than seeing the doctor down there and SMOKE coming from your NUTZ! nod

Fine question! I dont generally consider it good practice to put responsibility for my personal being into others hands. Certainly not if i'm capable of handling the particular responsibility at issue. Just a thought.

Oh since you have an ex-wife, can you reverse the surgery or is it permanent?

I could reverse it, but i won't. Two is enough in this day and age. And i plan to have alot of fun after they graduate.
I don't want to go thru all that again. It was fun the FIRST time. I don't want to relive it.

It's not about responsibility, it's about being careful.
If you trust the man and his condoms, fine, if not, then use your own methods.
I personally don't take any chances and don't trust the man to be responsible enough.

Years ago I used to babysit for a family who had a few kids. After their last child was born, they agreed that the husband would get a vasectomy.

One evening when I arrived to sit for them, the wife informed me the hubby had just had the vasectomy done the day before and he wouldn't be going out with her that night as planned because his balls swelled up all huge after the operation so he was staying home in bed instead.

My boyfriend at the time had come with me to babysit that night, and at one point during the evening the husband (who I never really had had much interaction with before) came out to get something from the kitchen, and then, standing there in the kitchen all bowlegged and in a little robe, proceeded to give my boyfriend a big long detailed man-to-man lecture about how he (my boyfriend) should never EVER agree to a vasectomy. I know it was mean of me, but I found the whole situation *really* amusing, and the expression on my boyfriend's face was priceless

So after scaring the hell out of my boyfriend, the husband shuffled/waddled off back to his bedroom again to ice his balls some more.

I can never hear the word 'vasectomy' without remembering this incident.

I say it's the both of ur responsibilty, cuz only you can be responsible for your own body. She release the egg, and He release the sperm, it takes two 2 make a baby, not just a man's sperm rolleyes. I would never leave my body in the hands of a man pulease.

It is the responsibility of BOTH.

"He got me pregnant"
"She's having a baby I don't want"
"He broke the condom"
"She pretended to be on the pill"
"He pulled out"
"She stole my sperm"

I agree with u Lav -- it is both. The reality is though, that sometimes, that both sexes don't make the connection between sex and conception, so the responsibility is not acted upon.

I know... we did that!!
