I can't believe they closed many of the schools today in NYC. The so-called storm is really not as bad as they hyped it to be. At least not compared to past storms. shrug However, my mother in PA and brother in Delaware are snowed in.

These are from the snow this weekend, doesn't include the shit falling right now.

This poor tree is struggling

This one gave up and broke

Here is the parking lot, I live on a circle which it seems makes plowing a bit more difficult.

Here is my car. My ex dug it out for me with a dustpan. Very nice of her.

Uptown, I'm on the Upper East Side right now and still looking for that 12 to 18 inches of snow... lol So far it really doesn't look that bad.

I wish I were joking. Sadly (for her), after she was done, the owner of the car next to us came out with a real shovel and dropped a lot of his snow on our side and undid a lot of her progress.

I had my daughter knock some of it off. Not sure if it was enough to help it, but she got some of it.

I knocked more snow off the tree just now. Came back and found out I don't have to go to work again. If I could just get one more day out of this, that'd be great. This weekend is a 3-day.

We got that storm here in Ohio too. It snowed all day yesterday and the day before that. I swear, we must have a good two feet of snow on the ground right now!

nod

I shoveled for like 2 hours yesterday when I got home from work. This morning I looked outside, and it was as if I hadn't done a THING!

mad I have a small electric snow blower, so it could've been much worse. The worst part was digging my car out of 3-ft of ice/snow that the snowplows left in their wake.

...oh...and did I mention that I can't find my boots?

lol She BETTER!!!

As it is, I chided her for not even putting on a pot of coffee for me this morning! (she just gave me an innocent smile and pulled the covers over her head)

That's ok though...I left my wet clothes (& sneakers) in a pile by the front door for her to deal with.

I posted this on SCNDLS' thread, too; but here is a vid of yesterday's "storm" from our balcony. (From the afternoon -- maybe around 3pm?) I live right by Central Park, which got about 10 inches, I think. I didn't think the storm was *that* bad, but I don't drive and our building super shovels everything so I have it pretty easy. smile

The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.
