i was walking down a steep grass hill just outside my home when i slipped and felt myself briefly in the air before landing on my back on the hard ground ( still frozen solid in scotland with this bad winter).....i was winded a bit but when i tried to get up....i couldnt !!!.....for the first time in my life....i felt age grabbing me and leaving me helpless....i couldnt get up....my girlfriend had to run out the house and help me in .....for the first time ....i felt what it must be like to be old.....it opens your eyes i can tell you.....i hurt my back but i am ok now.....oh well...

When I played squash for the first time, the other day I knew how does it feel to be old..I couldn't move, bend down or go upstairs

that dude who made the symbol walking sticks for prince that he never paid for should bring out a range to cater for prince's aging fanbase. he could make some zimmer frames and wheelchairs with symbols and crap on too. lotusflower needs some new merchandise like pipes and slippers with symbols and shit on so you can look fly whilst collecting your pension. maybe some npg pajamas for when you are getting your varacous veins done

I feel ya. I try to not take note of these things too much, because damn it - I'm only 41 (42 in March), and I don't think I LOOK 41, per se. I don't really have gray, I don't have a lot of wrinkles or anything (thanks to no smoking and rarely if ever drinking). But shit....I try to get up off the floor and it's like raising the dead! haha I don't do well in winter anyway. I hate it, and my body fights against it. I thrive in warmer weather. In the summer, I'm fabulous!

I have fallen quite a few time but have only bruised myself. When it happens I do wonder how bad I will hurt myself when I am much older

& some mornings my body is so sore i can barely get outta bed.

It´s 6.22 p.m over here, it´s so cold and still snowing and I can barely walk outside, that´s how slippery it is....but....fuck the winter, fuck the darkness, fuck winter depression....show´em the finger.

I'm 42, too. I'm walking around right now with an ankle brace, and I'm not sure HOW I got a hairline fracture in my ankle. All I know is the shit hurt when I walked... My doctor told me start taking calcium pills!

(I'm not giving up my stilettos! As soon as I take this brace off, I'm back up on them! )
