He's around the top ten ...

That's cool. I really like Richard Pryor, but I declared Mooney as my favorite after I first saw his show "Jesus is Black - So Was Cleopatra." lol Plus, he wrote a lot of Richard's material. I can't wait to see your top 10, lol.

Back with a dose of ten comic, numbers 100 through 91.

92. Craig Robinson
http://www.youtube.com/wa...pxyn65QUfA

This cat’s comedy is very creative. He usually comes out on stage with a keyboard and everything. I first seen him on one of the later seasons of HBO's Def Comedy Jam and on an episode of Cedric the Entertainer Presents ... Recently, he has appeared on 1st Amendment Stand Up, Just For Laughs Comedy Festival and a host of movies in the past years.

dude should be way higher than 92

I also find the comedian that plays Oprah(I forget her name) on

Wanda Sykes is hit or miss, but her book where she described
seeing Prince live had me in stitches.

I also think people over look Whoopie Goldberg's standup routines.

Debra Wilson, who'll be for ever in debt for Whitney Houston for the parodies she made about her lol

This big man was almost the Last Comic Standing a few years back. HE made a name for himself as a regular on HBO’s Def Comedy Jam and BET’s Comic View. He’s also showed up on Laffapalooza, and had his own Comedy Central Presents. Brotha had a funny bit on Comic View about an airplane experience and about an uncle so old he died twice ... Above is his bit on Tsunami Relief.

83. Rodney Perry

81. Myra J.

One of the stars who made the Comedy Act Theater on Crenshaw "THE" place to be in the 80s’ and early 90s’. Myra J. would battle with the MC Robin Harris in a game of dozens. She performed her stand-up on Robin Harris BET Comedy Special, Def Comedy Jam, An Evening at the Improv in 1993, Sinbad’s Summer Jam II and the short lived Vibe in 1998. She's current;y part of The Tom Joyner Morning SHow.

80. Donnell Rawlings

http://www.youtube.com/wa...EJLjfYcu0Y

“I’m Rich Bitch” is his catch ohrase. He’s been in the comedy game long before Chappelle’s Show premiered. Catch him on early appearances from Comic Justice, HBO's Def Comedy Jam and Showtime at the Apollo in the mid 90s’. After Chappelle’s Show, he made the rounds on the current stand-up shows like Premium Blend, P. Diddy’s Bad Boys of Comedy on HBO (Poor man's Def Comedy Jam), Comic View: One Night Stand and 1st Amendment Stand Up.

79. Corey Holcomb

http://www.youtube.com/wa...2usLmvJr_M

He’s sort of like the black Andre Dice Clay. His comedy is so funny, cause he actually looks serious and plays that role perfectly (not a role actually, very real.) In 1996, he made his first appearance on Def Comedy All-Star Jams. He’s had his own Comedy Central Presents, two DVD specials, two Laffapalooza showings and many others. He was on th Funny Spot and is a part of Foxxhole Radio.

78. Wildman Steve

Wildman is right, Listen to some of his albums, and you’d be like “potty mouth.” Steve was the first black comic to not on chart on Cash Box but also sell a million records. Some of his records include 1969’s “My Man! Wild Man!” 1974‘s “Eatin‘ Ain‘t Cheatin‘” and 1978‘s “Midnight Snack”

77. Skillet & Leroy

http://www.youtube.com/wa...k9fcIs5dNE

(Leroy Daniels & Ernest ‘Skillet’ Mayhand) The first comedy team to make it here. These were some dirty men performing all the way back to the 50s’. They released many Gold records, including the x-rated classics “Two or Three Times a Day”, “3 The Hard Way” and um … “Big Dead Dick.” They performed a lor with Redd Foxx, Lawanda Page, Slappy White, Rudy Ray Moore among other dirty blue comey from this time.

76. Don ‘D.C.’ Curry

http://www.youtube.com/wa...8pPQNQZuYo

The first former host of BET’s Comic View (1995-1996) to appear, ‘DC’ Curry is, what I call an old school comic. He’s best known for roles in the “Friday” series and the TV series "Grace Under Fire." He’s been performing stand-up for years appearing on Def Comedy Jam, had his own Comedy Central Presents in 2000 and 1st Amendment Stand Up.

75. Sommore

http://www.youtube.com/wa...o1k-8HNMi8

Like ‘DC’ before her, she hosted Comic View before him in 1994-1995. Before than, she appeared on Def Comedy Jam and the little known variety show, Uptown Comedy Club. She started in the film, “The Queens of Comedy” in 2001 and two years later on “Latham Entertainment Presents.” One of the best female comics working today, she has also appeared on Oprah and recently starred in her own TV special “The Queen Stands Alone.”

74. Ricky Harris

http://www.youtube.com/wa...3ZRNQk6OYY

The first Def Comedy Jam host to make the list. He was a rotation host in 1995. Most probably don’t even know dude is a stand up. I think he's more known as an actor now. After being boo’d off Showtime at the Apollo, he made many appearances on Def Comedy Jam before becoming the host. Was also a cast member of the ill-fated "Def Comedy Jam Primetime" a sketch series, on Fox in 1995/

The only time I saw Phyllis Yvonne Stickney do comedy was on Comic View somewhere between 2000-2003 (maybe later I can't remember). She had the whole hour to herself and she was HIGHLARIOUS! She had some really funny stuff and then she would move seamlessly into some spoken word poetry. I thought it was really great and I've been trying to find more of her comedy stuff ever since. She performed on an episode of The Funny Spot which comes on TV One (or should I same came on TV One a few years back.) But yeah, that's where I first saw her also, on Comic View. She started doin' comedy after seeing Charlie Barnett in the Village doin' his thang.

73. A.J. Jamal

http://www.youtube.com/wa...13PcQd2Lo8

One of the comics working the road in the late 80s who didn't get the exposure until the early 90s when the wave of Black TV hit. After appearances on Showtime at the Apollo, Def Comedy Jam and An Evening at the Imrov and a short staring role on In Living Color in the later seasons, Comedy Central gave him his own show to rival the upstart Def Jam and Comic View, called Comic Justice. After, he went on to do shows like Comic Strip Live (remember that) and lot's on BET's Comic View. Recently, he has appeared on 1st Amendment Stand Up.

72. Alex Thomas

http://www.youtube.com/wa...URy-36ssiw

Alex Thomas was one of the hot young comics of the past millennium. He’s been in many TV series (Jamie Foxx Show) and movies (Players Club) and had his own special Straight Clown’n from 2002 that was hilarious (I Haven’t seen it since it first aired in 2002.) He’s made appearances on Def Comedy Jam and Comic View.

71. Aries Spears

http://www.youtube.com/wa...vVjV8fo41A

One of the best impressionist working today, Aries Spears is great, weather it be in stand-up or on the sketch shows MadTV and The Underground. At 16, made his debut on Def Comedy Jam but didn’t return to the series again until 1997. In between that time he became a star on MadTV. After Mad, he’s been getting back to his roots, doin’ Comic View and One Night Stand, David Alan Grier’s Comedy You Can Believe In and Shaq and Ced Presents All-Star Comedy Jam.

70. Bruce Bruce

http://www.youtube.com/wa...xOiWxatxmk

“Not Fat Bruce, not Big Boy, it’s Bruce, Bruce.” He’s best known as a two time host of BET Comic View in 2000 and 2001. He’s had a special on Comedy Central, his own CC Presents and put out a Live DVD that same year (2003). Also that same year was a performer on Latham Entertainment Presents. HE also been on 1st Amendment Stand Up and The Tom Joyner Show.

69. Reggie McFadden

http://www.youtube.com/wa...i0VvAGSTA8

UNDERRATED!! Another member of the later In Living Color seasons, he was a staple of Def Comedy Jam in the 90s. Reggie McFadden is one hilarious dude. He’s also had many specials on Comedy Central including a Comedy Central Present in 1998, and appeared on may of their programs like Premium Blend and Comic Groove. He was hilarious on a n episode of Martin.

68. Mario Joyner

http://www.youtube.com/wa...KYNZQ-fxa0

The man was the host of MTV’s ½ Hour Comedy Hour (from 1988-1992.) He’s had his own HBO One Night Stand in 1992, performed on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno and was a cast of The Chris Rock Show. He is Chris Rock’s best friend.

67. Katt Williams

http://www.youtube.com/wa...ddXCOUjT_A

It’s Pimpin’ Pimpin’. He had a nice little five year run the past decade, than just retired out of the blue. After getting known for his 'Money Mike' character in “Friday After Next”, he put out countless DVD’s like “American Hustle” "The Katthouse" ect, had an HBO special “The Pimp Chronicles Pt 1” in 2006 (where is part two?), and appeared on many stand-up shows (Def Comedy Jam, BET’s Comic View) than called it a career on New Year Eve 2008.

66. J.B. Smoove

http://www.youtube.com/wa...ZWc38whLvg

J.B. Smoove, is known as Leon too many and was a writer on Saturday Night Live, but he’s a stand-up at heart. He’s been doin’ stand up since the late 80s’ and his big break came (like many other comics) when he performed on Showtime at the Apollo. After, he had many appearances on Def Comedy Jam, Comic View and later in movies like Pootie Tang and a staring role in Cedric the Entertainer Presents ...

65. Kevin Hart

http://www.youtube.com/wa...K_8lOow1sY

He’s the youngest comic in age on this list, and has been doin’ it the least amount of years, but there’s a reason he’s in the top 65, he’s hilarious and keeps gettin’ better. I remember the first time I seen him, in a Comedy Central Presents special in 2003, I knew this cat was gonna be good. On the recent Shaq & Ced presents All-Star Comedy Jam, he shut it down. He’s also hosted Comic View: One Mic Stand in 2008 and had his own specials, like “I’m A Grown Little Man.” First stand up appearance was on Comic Groove in 2002 and did Def Comedy Ham in 2006.

64. Mo’Nique

http://www.youtube.com/wa...cBq7fiEw2Y

Another of the Queens of Comedy. She currently has a late night show on BET titled, “The Mo’Nique Show.” She started her career in 1989; as her, Earthquake and Rickey Smiley would do shows together riding from place to place performing anywhere. After the experience, the young lady from Baltimore would go onto do HBO’s Def Comedy Jam, BET’s Comic View, Uptown Comedy Club, Showtime At the Apollo and has hosted the BET Awards on numerous occasions. She did two of Shaq's Roast, She's performed the highly Showtime special, O Coulda Been Your Cellmate in 2007 and hosted Showtime at the Apollo.

63. Earthquake

http://www.youtube.com/wa...4y4WpHgzQI

‘Quake has been in the business since 1989 as the previous comic, is good friends with Mo‘Nique and the upcoming comedian. Making appearances on HBO's Def Comedy Jam, BET's Comic View and the series ”Uptown Comedy Club” he made a name for himself. He finally started getting’ the recognition this past decade and the title of his DVD comedy, "About Got Damn Time", appearing in Latham Entertainment Presents, had a few specials like Comedy Central Presents and HBO One Night Stand in 2005 and roasted John Witherspoon last year.

62. Rickey Smiley

http://www.youtube.com/wa...Oh8bMMiwJY

When I think BET’s long running stand up showcase Comic View, I think of this young man. LIL DARYL, MISS BERNICE JENKINS, PRECIOUS, BUFORD .. oh my!!Rickey is a CV ‘OG’ he’s hosted the series three times and even had a spin off “The Way We Do It“ in 2001. He’s had a few films and made his TV debut in 1992 on Def Comedy Jam. As stated he is close friends with Earthquake and Mo’Nique as they are all from Baltimore. He was even on Latham Entertainment Presents with Earthquake.

I discovered him on Comedy Central sometime in 2003 and loved this dude ever since. He’s appeared in many Comedy Central shows, has his own show on the station. ON HBO, did One Night Stand in 1995 and the next year on the Def Comedy Jam comeback. He genius was showcased on Web Junk 20, OMG! Little known fact, he was a write for WWF in the Attitude Era.
