tyra is just a cunt. all ego and very little talent to back it up. so when they have a challenge that requires the least amount of talent, naturally she wins.

feh on morgan. she's been coasting the whole time.

go juju!!!

She does have the personality of a steaming turd, but I wouldn't say putting those outfits together require the least amount of talent tho.

I'd kick ass on performance, but I'd be fucked if I had to sew some shit up.

i'm not saying the sewing is the least talent, i'm just saying it was the only talent involved in this challenge.

sew a dress, and look pretty.

if they had really wanted to make this a challenge they would have had them do something concerning the topic of gay marraige beyond pose for a goofy photo where you make a joke out of it by marrying yourself.

instead it was just sew a dress and look pretty. so lame as a challenge when you think of how much deeper that challenge could have been especially in this moment in time in this rabidly anti-equality country.

but, still a fun episode. damn funny and big drama.

She definitely lacks stage presence when doing a number:

right?

this is why i find most drag queens boring. looking pretty isn't a talent, because it's only interesting for about 15-20 seconds. lip-synching isn't a talent unless you are doing a HUGE production number with a lot of dancers and choreagrpahy.

you need to be funny or sing or rap or something. just standing there and lip-synching is BORING

I will disagree with you on that lip-synching is boring.
I think if done well (I'm a stickler for good lip-synching) and you have good stage presence and connect with the audience it can all be very entertaining.
Of course I'm making this point because lip-synching is what I did. I did not have big production numbers (dancers cost money). I was simply good at what I did and connected with my audience. And I can say confidently that I entertained many many folk during my decade of drag. If you are a fan of drag as illusion then it doesn't take a whole lot of production to be entertained. Just a solid performer.

I am not a fan of drag queens singing live unless they can mimic a female voice or are doing comedy.

But drag is not for everyone. And neither is every type of drag.

yea, i could have worded that better.

but tyra has neither ability

Drag can be sooooo many things. There are really a lot of options for finding how to be a good entertainer.

Just being pretty and being able to work a runway or a photoshoot doesn't cut it. That's called being a model, not a performer. I think we definitely agree on that. wink

I just watched it this evening...

- Tyra is so freakin' annoying! mad

- I love Jujubee! biggrin

- I liked Raven's dress, but not the Cher wig.

- I'm not really feeling Sahara or Pandora. hmph!

- Tatianna was kind of annoying, too. Whiny. rolleyes

- I wasn't hurt to see Morgan leave. shrug

Someone mentioned about the cheesiness of having them do the wedding pix. I thought it was just a way to see both their "sides" juxtaposed.
I really didn't like the drawing on of facial hair. I get WHY they did it (I think), but it was just as bad as the women who shave off their eyebrows and just draw them back on. lol

"Love Hurts.
Your lies, they cut me.
Now your words don't mean a thing.
I don't give a damn if you ever loved me..."
