They want me back....

I have been working with two women in putting on events. We were glorified promoters...

Well in 2008 we got what seemed to be some steam. A client, and a nice check. Then one of the ladies decides to throw a fashion show in a city that I had JUST moved to. While we ignored our first client.

Needless to say I didn't have the relationships like I did in other cities. The bitches blamed the low turn out all on me. I pretty much knocked out web design, administrative stuff, paid for the cards, a lot that I could do. But getting local press and local dignitaries takes a little time and schmoozing...not three months.

In January 2009 they nicely asked me to bow out. I was pretty much done with them bitches, so I said very nicely, yes. I had just purchased a home, finishing grad school, and working a shitty job that allows no free time, so I was glad to be off their hook.

But tonight they called me. They told me I'm the only person they trust in this venture where they need my expertise and bascially another body to pick up dropped balls.

I've maintained a friendship with them. Although last year I was really hot with them. It was not fair for them to place all the blame on me. My accountant looked at the numbers of what we put out for a shoe string budget event and he was like eek "y'all were out of control!" I told them from the beginning that the show was shakey. They said I was being negative and insecure. I guess if I was telling them they were out of their minds to put down 15,000 on an unsure thing was negative so be it.

But they want me back..... Interesting. Vindication.... If the price is right, I may do it. Right now I'm gloating. heifers.

I'm not vested with the group anymore. So I don't hold a share. And quite frankly I don't give a fuck. I handed all paperwork (oh yeah, my boyfriend was our book keeper and "play" acocuntant) over to her happily. The one thing that got completely under my skin was one of them saying they had no complaints about my man. I was like, "Bitch, he doesn't work FOR you, if it weren't for me your ass would still be getting that card of yours declined all over Atlanta!"

I'm treading lightly. They want to be millionares in 5 years. I'm a 15 year, gradual growth kinda person. It's where our perceptions differ.

did they ever apologize to you?

if so, I'd consider it for the right price and a contract....

if not, I'd tell them "fuck, naw" (you can quote me if necessary smile )

They told me i'm the only person they trust....that's their way of saying sorry, I guess.

I'll take a look at the contract and see what they say.

I'm really letting Karma handle them for the rest of it.

I wouldn't mess with it. Why not try it on your own and make a business out of it where you are the sole owner? It's worth a shot, sounds you have a lot of expertise in it. I'm always one for entreprenuership, but if you go back to those heifers, it sounds like they are going to use you once again. If you gave them sound advice the first time around and they didn't listen, then what has really changed? People don't change that quickly. If you really want to give it another shot, I just say think long and hard about it first.
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

I am doing something on my own, but it's not really related to what these heifers are doing. With these chicks it is truly you reap what you sow. I've learned that if it doesn't hit you in the professional end it gets you in the personal end. One of them females is a sanctimonious and sefl righteous princess. She's been to the alter a few times, but the men back off and call it off. I don't know of any self respecting man that would want to be married to a woman that expects EVERYTHING all the time. So, you get yours, sooner or later.
