With the global success of “Avatar,” a 3D porno flick couldn’t be far behind, and the director of the infamous 1979 film “Caligula” says he’s going to produce it. Erotic film director Tinto Brass, 76, told the Hollywood Reporter that with the rapid growth in 3D technology, the time is right to bring the tanned, toned, writhing bodies, cheesy plot lines and boom-chicka-boom-boom musical scores into the brave new world of 3D. Brass said the project will be the first 3D porno film – and the first 3D film of any kind made in Italy. But that is debatable, as the porn company Bad Girls in 3D is offering a $4,000 package - 60-inch TV and 3D glasses included - that provides access to 15 hours of 3D porn it has already filmed, the Daily News reported. Brass told Reuters that the movie will “revisit an abandoned project about a Roman emperor that was ruined by Americans, and go from there,” a reference to “Caligula,” which he worked on with author Gore Vidal and Penthouse magazine publisher Bob Guccione.
