I love pizza, but I do not like chain pizza. It is always made with substandard ingredients. I would rather buy a frozen pizza from the grocery store than buy pizza at some crappy chain.

When I eat pizza, I either go to a local pizzeria or I make one myself.

I agree with you on the frozen pizza thing. DiGorno's pizza is delicious.

I like DiGiorno's a lot, but I think my favorite pizza has got to be good old Jack's, which is hardly top-tier. Just tastes perfect to me. smile

Co-sign. Fuck them chain brand pizzas. I heard there´s this really legendary place in NYC called Grimaldi or something like that, their place in Brooklyn is supposedly THE BEST pizza place in America.

Let me see if I can find their website...I´m not sure about the name.

i've been there- it's the best pizza i've ever had, totally worth the 40 minute wait for a table! drool

The best pizza I ever had was in Boston- and, I am from NY so this pains me to admit. Sorry, don't recall the place, but it was by a church.

NY does have some great Pizza places all over Manhattan, boroughs, and even over into NJ. And, whoever said it is right, Queens does have some of the best of any type of ethnic foods out there- I especially love the Dominican and Puerto Rican restaurants around Queens.

The best pizza in Syracuse, NY is easily Luigis Pizza!

I never tasted Grimaldi's in Brooklyn, but I have had the Grimaldi's in Vegas (actually recommended by co-worker who said it was the NY Grimaldi's and that I should like it- since I had been lamenting that I couldnt find a good Pizza in Vegas). The Vegas Grimaldi's was terrible the 1 time I had it so I never went back. This co-worker of mine said I just caught them on a bad day, but it was so tasteless that I couldnt see it getting any better!

I did find I like Rosatti's Pizza in Vegas- particularly the Pecos & Wigwam location thin crust pizza (which is suppose to be Chicago style). I also like Il Golisitas or Il Golisitos (whatever the place was called- as it has changed names as one owner bought out the other), which is on Eastern just south of the 215. There is also a place called Don Antonio's which also has decent pizza. Both the Golisita place and Don Antonio's also have excellent Italian food.

Sadly the only great "local" pizza I know of is a place in SF near an old job, I never get over there anymore.

As for chains, I always go w/ Round Table...

When I looked at the list and saw two place in Trenton, I was pleased. I was born there, but now I live in Maryland, so it's out of reach for pizza. BUT. it brought back memories when I read one of the reviews and the guy said, "It's not pizza, it's a tomato pie." That's what we used to call them in Jersey, at least in South Jersey.

Last time I had chain-restaurant pizza, it was Dominos, and it was actually GOOD. They really have improved their crust and sauce.

Of course, I'm eating pizza without meat or cheese, which is almost kinda not really pizza, so take that for what it's worth. shrug

as a kid, nothing beat Pudgie's Pizza on Market Street in Corning...
when we moved to florida i think the first pizza we ate here was from little caesar's..after a while it got bad..too many non caring franchises i think..
i worked for little caesar's for 3 and a half years..and i didn;t even eat their pizza at first..
unless i made my own, but they're coming out ok now..
i just ordered a peppperoni- extra cheese the other night..
and it was good..my nephew said it looks better than the ones his mom gets when she orders them..she has quit getting them cause they look so bad..
i only order them from the stores i worked at.. shrug
she gets hers from the store i worked at, but i think they still know me there..
giggle
and yes pizza hut is greasy but the pepperoni gets so crunchy... drool
my only experience with papa john's was nasty ill
soggy pizza..and i dont think it was thoroughly cooked..it was doughy
but i don't eat much pizza..
gotta be in a mood for it..
sun 'why y'all trying to say goodbye? I didn't go anywhere, I'm right here, im all around you,always..' sun

in a line from my dream, I heard a voice and saw a silhouette in a chair..
